Yes I know IU calls all their OLB's "Bandits". But Moving Greg Gooch to the rush linebacker has made the position deeper, stronger, and added a guy who would be tough for a running back to block when he's got a full load of Steam and momentum going into the backfield.
Shaw was more effective than Mangieri in that role last yr and coupled with Sykes, that can be a strong position. I'm not sure how much pass coverage those 3 will have on the short side. But they can definitely give them some "whomp" in the pash rush. While not particularly athletic as an OLB, Mangieri is potentially pretty good as a down lineman.
