Green, more than a cheat code

I think Green and Phinese will be our starting guards next year.
I don't expect Green to completely replace Romeo, but I believe he will lead us in scoring. That will come with some poor shots and his trademark turnovers, but his style may bring others out of their shells. Romeo was very laid back and rarely looked to score in the first half. The team often started off slow. Perhaps Green can change the energy at the start of the game. I just want him to play without the early possession without turnovers

I did see good communication between Green and Davis. Green and Phinisee seem to play well together. Other than depth at the guard position, we didn't miss Romeo in the NIT. I keep going back to how VJIII was a frustrating player for his first 2 -3 years but had a very nice senior year. I could see Green doing something similar.

Does anything in it talk about consistecy or just NIT games?

You guys are hyping him up too much for failure. Green is a good player at times and even the difference maker , at times.
But we need a consistent shooting guard like a Phinisee is in bein a consistent point guard.
I think you guys are setting yourself up for excuses I dont want to hear come the end of the year

Great idea. Don't try to educate yourself or develop any insight. Just accept whatever unfounded rumor someone else might tell you and make assumptions based on that.

That's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if that pays off for you.
I'll just let the way they performed during that stretch (losing 11 of 12 games) speak for itself. But go ahead, continue to bury your head in the sand, I don't care.

I just want to see IU win, something this program doesn't do much of anymore. This is probably why we've become a laughingstock. Despite missing the tourney 3 years in a row, our fans continue to hype up a player that hasn't accomplished a thing since he signed.

Hell of a right hook though.

You apparently didn't watch the last part of the season leading up to the NIT.

I think Phinisee is our PG and Green is our starting SG. Franklin and Green can also play some PG and Durham will put in time at SG. I see Phinisee and Green starting at guard and rotating Durham and Franklin in to spell them and for situational reasons.

The article has nothing to do with hype you fool.

I'm not a big AD fan, but he'll get a lot more time than you describe........and probably start some games, as a 3rd guard or otherwise.

Very nice read. Thanks for the link.

I think that many times the fans forget that these young men are not just automaton bball players. Each one has his own story and sometimes those stories are not all Ozzie and Harriet but stories of heartbreak and adversity. The fact that Devonte has overcome so much is wonderful. Kudos to him and his family and I hope his senior year is great.

Aljami probably will start some games. I think all four guards will play a lot.
