A judge from the White Castle shooting a couple years ago also hit her ex in front of their kids.

Judges out drunk at 3AM searching for a strip bar then starting fights? One wonders. Now that she agrees to never hold judicial office again, I guess political office will be next.

She looks fun

Crawford County could be Deliverance.2

Very cosmopolitan

Got my tires cut there once while at the courthouse, inside for a hearing, also with a female judge - who granted my motion for an injunction but was zero sympathetic about the tires.

Another example of great parenting.
Welfare here we come

been decades now, but can't forget the story about a Bedford judge in a custody hearing, trial, whatever..

a guy shoots both his ex girlfriend or wife, (can't remember which, too long ago), and her new beau with a shotgun.

kills the guy, the female ex lives, but has long term damage.

the killer pleads insanity, and spends not that long in some mental facility.

fast forward a bit, the shotgun killer gets out of the mental facility, and sues for custody of the kids they had when he was with the girl he also shot with a shotgun.

the judge gives the kids to the shotgun killer, with the reasoning that the mother was still to physically damaged from being shot with a shotgun by the ex, to properly care for the children.

Aren’t those the people Mary Jane grew up tall and right with on them Indiana nights?

You really think Indiana is the only State with idiot judges? It’s all over. Smart attorneys are making money in public practice. The rest go for guaranteed wages of prosecutors and judges.

Where did Marv say Indiana was the only state with idiot judges? Why would you assume that's what he was saying? We do live in Indiana, after all.
Looks like you are mounting the "Everyone does it" defense. What's up with that?

When talking about elected officials “everyone does it” is pretty much right. We aren’t electing the smart people in our country. Smart folks stay away. If someone with brains run for office, they don’t get elected because the voters don’t want to hear truth.

To think judges are somehow better people than the rest of us is foolish. In Texas, they are elected. They are politicians. I knew judges who were womanizers, drinkers, scoundrels, and some were just not very bright. Unfortunately, most voters do not know who they are voting for or, the details of a candidate's background.

Judges don't have to be saints but, a vetting process of some nature might be helpful to eliminate some bad apples. How do you keep a vetting committee from being political? I don't know.

So, you obviously know this person, and are defending her with "Everybody does it."
Why else would you be so defensive when Marv posted the story?

I have no idea what you’re talking about. I am not defending the person in Marv’s link. I don’t know her.

I am saying don’t expect the brightest and best in our prosecutors and judges.

Why not? She made $157,000 in 2021:

Median household income in Crawford County is $41,700

She is well over triple what the average household makes on her own. Cost of living/property has to be fairly cheap. That shouldn't be a job just anyone can walk into. I can imagine the average private attorney in Crawford County isn't at risk of making Forbes.

A good attorney should make more than $157,000.

You and kurt should get together...

Hell no.

I haven't had more then 3 beers in probably a year. I don't have time to drink. 1 kid in elementary school and 1 kid in high school plus I get up everyday for work no later then 3:30 am. I'm on bed by 8 every night. Plus I'm one of the lucky ones who definitely outkicked his coverage and would never do anything to mess that up. 19 years and counting, we're in it for the long haul.

I would imagine that a night drinking with Kurt would end up like..

After a night of drinking, I'm not gonna lie.... I'm not ashamed to say I'd hit it.
Well, OK, go ahead, but the link makes it seem clear that she might hit you back.
