for those interested. This is from a Penn State poster on the Rutgers board...

Didnt know they only counted Top 20 but yeah i did mean add a 4 star and not a low rated recruit. I was noticing some classes ahead of us with a lower average so how do you explain that?
"Simply because not all 3 star or 4 star or 5 star are equal. Here is an example of how that can work:
For example from Rutgers Class:
4 Star Fogg is a 5.8 worth 105 Points
4 Star Clark is a 5.8 worth 105 Point plus 19 points for being #170 overall for a total of 124 points.
3 Star Lewis is a 5.7 worth 90 Points
3 Star Watt is a 5.5 worth 60 Points
Avg: 3.5 Stars Total Points: 379
For example from Penn State Class:
4 Star Hansord is a 5.9 for 120 Points plus 27 points for being #129 overall for a total of 147 points.
3 Star Miranda is a 5.7 worth 90 Points
3 Star Barber is a 5.7 worth 90 Points
3 Stat Hippenhammer is a 5.7 worth 90 Points
Average 3.25 Stars Total Points: 417
Since Rutgers is at 20 commits the lowest recruit is a 5.4 worth 45 points. So if they sign a 4 star like Fogg that not in the top 250 the overall teams score would go up 45 points because you would subtract the 45 points for the 5.4 kid and add the 90 for the 5.8 kid. Now a school with fewer than 20 would gain the entire point total.
What is the formula?
Rivals Rating points + Rivals250 Bonus Points = Total Points
Rivals Rating (RR) Scale (Top 20 rated commitments)
(Rivals Rating = Points)
6.1 = 150 points
6.0 = 135 points
