Gofundme for Mo

Hes had to be playing professionally for over 10 years, praying for him to get out safely but surprised he doesn't have any gas money
You think he’ll drive to Maryland? Do you know what he makes? Maybe just mind your own business if you don’t card to help? Or feel free to call his mom and ask why he needs help.

Just because you start a GoFundMe page doesn't mean you don't have "gas money". Anyone can start a GoFundMe. That's why you see so many of them for every little thing now. Everyone needs money in these trying times of work stoppage. Shit's expensive. I started to buy a little bag of nothing yesterday until seeing it cost $5.00. I remember paying 89 cents for it. No thank you! My fiber optic cable bill takes monthly precedence. I want my MTV!

How much have you donated? I think in the interest of full disclosure we have a right to know since you are soliciting funds from us

Mo Creek is in a car leaving Ukraine now. A gofundme has been started for his expenses. I know he was in the midst of a season, so I’m sure he doesn’t have a job to go home to. If you’re interested. https://www.gofundme.com/f/bring-home-maurice-mo-creek-buddy?qid=0735d2f673655727139086984bdac902
A go fund me? He's still a pro basketball player that probably makes twice of most on this board at least, he should have some savings and probably go G-league or exhibition team, or gulp, get a real job! No thanks, he should not need that level of help

that dude did have the skinniest legs I've ever seen on a human being, if I recall he had about 25 in a half against uk 1 time, then when he went to GW played with a limp, surprised he was able to have a pro career this long.

He makes between $50K and $75K so not only not twice but not nearly as much. He just spent a ton to get out and left everything behind including his job.

He cannot be earning that little, no way, I'd have to guess 120-200K at minimum and he's been doing it for 10 years, he has to have some savings living there and stashing it away. Yeah, with getting out on the run, he might have lost a lot of belongings and that sucks, but he can't be destitute, and I can't believe he wouldn't be insured. He could come back to BTown and just about get a job anywhere or Athletes in Action ... something like that. Plus, I'm sure at least his contract over there is probably insured for an eventuality such as this, it's not like nobody saw this coming for years

Good God. You people are just absolutely pathetic. Fortunately many people not associated with IU feel differently and have donated. Mods, please delete this thread. I thought we were better than this. I guess not.

Yikes this thread is ugly.
Yep. This is who we are. Don’t ever try to do anything nice here.
What we used to be? When Kirk Haston’s Mom passed away in a tornado , we decided to send flowers to the funeral home from “ a group of IU fans”. No one called names. No one suggested he didn’t deserve them. People pledged money, I bought and sent the flowers, and people actually sent the money. That would never, ever happen here now.

No that is ridiculous, why should there be calls for money when he's a pro basketball player? If you're living in Ukraine making 50K a year, which I don't believe for a minute, should you maybe not reassess the success of your future in basketball anyway? That's not even fast-food manager salary, sounds scam-ish, I wonder who set it up and where it's going or if he even knows about it

Or you can do some research. His uncle set it up and he and his mother are aware of it. Do people here really think basketball players abroad get paid like the NBA? You’ve obviously paid no attention to the situation, but have very strong opinions. Again feel very free not to donate. Lol

Of course not, but if you have to go to Ukraine to make 50K a year, you've got bigger problems than losing your job in Ukraine. It doesn't sound legitimate. The solution is called a credit card, and believe me I've had to use mine plenty of times in life when I would have rather not to in order to pay for medical expenses, needed house repairs, etc., etc. This looks like a scam

If you are working construction in Eastern Europe you might be making the equivalent of $600 a month.

If it is that much hardship for him there, he'd be better off to lose his job and get back in the states. He's out now, so get a real job back home or play for AIA or the like, which I'm certain he could catch onto as a former Hoosier. My wife lost her job during the pandemic and our finances are not normal at the moment either, so I'm somewhat sympathetic that times might be tight for him for a while, but would I start a go fund me for us, no
