But the cops are the bad guys. A 25 yr retired ISP told me of a time when a drunk driver ran, stole a car, and killed a family of 4. ISP got sued for letting the guy get away.
Have lots of friends in downtown Indy, Chicago, NYC, and San Fran . No one is worried.
They should be.
They're about to get an education as to why everyone who's sane should own a firearm and have themselves trained as to how to safely own and employ it if necessary...

Meh. I think "you guys" posts generally suck. I think that an all-black police force would try its imperfect best to do the job as well as possible and I don't think that would include "screwing" anyone.

Please tell me how many people died in Soho last week cause all I can see from a quick Google search was a couple of people suffered mild injuries.
If everyone took up arms there would have been much more carnage with everyone shooting at each other in a mass panic.
My advice, start with pepper spray if you're scared of a group, that way you can spray to your frightened hearts content without killing someone, yourself or going to jail for manslaughter. Guns only work if you are the only one that has them. If everyone arms up then you're back to being scared since the 'bad guys' now carry guns also.
I had to keep from laughing when the CNN host kept going on about how horrible things had become in Soho during the "peaceful protests" and that she was very frustrated with the lack of a police response... (you know, that same police outfit she and her cronies want to defund)...

I trust you're being facetious hoosboot about an all-black police force because tmp was joking around. if you're semi serious, the black cops where i live are largely the same mold as the white cops. in fact many are routinely busted for being on the take from the drug dealers as they provide security for same. i acknowledge that there are some racist cops, not to the extreme people on this board believe. i think it's more a psychological profile that leads certain types to become cops that is probably vetted at the federal level but not at the level where the min reqmts are a high school diploma and a short shrift psyche eval. i don't think race is the biggest issue in police forces; i think it's type.

You would be silly to think there wouldn't be some serious disarray in the downtown areas if police protection was limited or done away with, hell it happens now and we have law enforcement. I assume that those causing the issues would get tired of running amuck but then again who knows.
I respect that many would not get a firearm it is definitely their choice, but to say they are more likely to harm than protect is just a dumb statement unless those who choose not to have one are not capable or smart enough to operate one then I see your point.
Firearms like almost anything just take a bit of education and practice to be efficient and safe with.
That's because they have such wicked poor understanding of law enforcement and the evil that law enforcement must deal with that they aren't qualified to even evaluate their own safety if there were no police officers in their neighborhood. The Atlanta police force was 62 percent black before the Brooks shooting. Changing the percentages won’t help because it isn’t the problem.

Gun sales were already soaring because of the lockdowns and the recent reports of rioting and looting(hat tip Rockfish) have increased them even more.
One of the few good things to come from all of this is the 2nd amendment is now safer than ever.

Well, it’s been widely reported that there are agitators out there who seek social uprisings and are just there to riot and cause trouble. Some may be on the far left and some on the far right, but their intent is to cause agitation not to spread their ideological views. If you are informed you'll know this.

Fox? my guess is you'd get a more accurate picture from your local news. i'd also wage a bet that of the percentage of people rioting and looting less than one percent were "agitators." in talking to local cops 99% were just the same folks who are out committing crimes anyway and this was just a nice opportunity for a diversion to loot. six people have been charged with the killing of the captain in saint louis. of course none were agitators. they were locals stealing from the pawn shop they'd broken into. and if you spend ten minutes looking them up i guarantee you will find a long rap sheet for each of them. the excuses, justification, and romanticizing of the rioting and looting is absurd.
