Here are some impressive stats.

Of the 39 bowl games played this season, the Gator Bowl had the sixth highest attendance, behind only the two CFP games and the Rose, Orange and Texas bowls.

The Gator Bowl attendance was up almost 40% over last year's game and was the biggest Gator Bowl crowd since 2011.

Of the 10 bowls in the Gator Bowl's tier, only two (Alamo and Texas) had higher TV ratings. The Gator had a larger TV audience than the Outback, Music City, Belk, Liberty, Camping World, Pinstripe and Holiday.

"In terms of attendance, ratings and the game, we couldn't be happier with how our 75th game went," said Rick Catlett, Gator Bowl president.

Very impressive! And we gave them a good show!

The good thing about our fan base is, we're certainly not jaded when it comes to bowl games. We're basically glad to be anywhere and it's basically a new experience for us.

If we could only get that enthusiasm for our home games.

I predict a full house when the 6-1 Hoosiers take on the Nittany Lions on October 31 in Bloomington.

When you throw out raw attendance figures only, you don't account for stadium size. A better overall measure may be the percentage of tickets sold compared to Stadium Capacity.

Another interesting number(assuming you are using the same stadium, with relatively the same capacity over time), is how does this year's attendance compare to average attendance over the past 5 or 10 years?
