If Virginia blows this, Tony Bennett needs to go into hiding in the mountains somewhere, and Virginia should never get a #1 seed again.

Has anyone won a national title running the packline D?

Did Weber and his 4 seed KState just lose to a 13 seed for another one and done (4 out of 5 trips over 7 seasons with KState)? According to a few on another thread, we should be firing Archie after 2 seasons and offering the gig to old man Weber...

Issue with UVA last years game and this year wasn’t defense. It was an offense that stagnated and settled for too many 3s

Their defense has picked up in the 2nd half, but are pulling away because their offense is clicking

The Virginia version? No. Washington State, Virginia and Wisconsin never won with it. But packline principles like sagging off the weak side and swarming entry passes? Yes, anyone who ever ran a sagging m2m and packed it in, was in affect playing a packline. Almost every team that is a m2m team in this tourney included. Most don't run a Virgina packline, but do some of the same things and everyone has borrowed from it.

These offenses and defenses are not black and white, there's a lot of grey area. Just as UNC and IU both ran motion offenses, there was major differences between Carolina motion under Dean Smith and Indiana motion under RMK.

Plus, Virginia's problems isn't and hasn't been on the defensive end. It's on the offensive - no matter what they call it - his offense struggles at times. He has opened it up a bit this year Seems to be helping.
