It should be like night and day going from the Terps to the Wildcats, but hopefully after getting clobbered last weekend and then facing finals without a midweek game, IU is not in much of a funk and is sharp going into Evanston. IU announced just one starter and that was with the Friday game with the other two games TBA. Rain shouldn't be a factor this weekend at the game times based on today's forecast.

Friday (4 p.m. ET game time) - IU will have RHP Luke Sinnard on the mound with an ERA of 4.50 in 60.1 IP.
NW will have RHP Michael Farinelli on the mound with an ERA of 9.31 in 38.2 with an OBP of .331.

Saturday (2 p.m. ET game time) - Starter is TBA for IU.
NW will have LHP Sam Garewal on the mound with an ERA of 7.52 in 32.1 IP with an OBP of .302.

Sunday (2 p.m. ET game time) - Starter is TBA for IU.
NW will have RHP Luke Benneche on the mound with an ERA of 10.06 in 34 IP with an OBP of .336.

IU is 4th in the B1G in batting with a team average of .298, while NW is 12th with a team average of .250.
IU is 7th in pitching with a team ERA of 5.30, while NW is 13th with a team ERA of 8.85.
IU is 8th in fielding, while NW is 13th.

NW has a pitcher that started in every game he played in, but is not in their weekend rotation, and he is RHP Matt McClure and he has an ERA of 6.62 in 53 IP with an OBP of .296. I assume he must be an injury scratch and I checked the Wildcat write-up for the series and I saw no mention of him.

In looking at the remaining pitchers on their roster and looking at the innings pitched to figure out who they use the most, the Wildcats don't have much of a bullpen and they have one pitcher that has pitched 24 IP with a 4.50, and another with at 5.27 in 13.2 IP and everyone else that has seen extended innings is at an ERA of 8.14 and higher.

Weather forecast for Evanston as of today is as follows:

Friday: around 54 at game time (4 p.m. ET) with virtually no chance of rain, partly cloudy with the wind S 8 mph.

Saturday: around 64 at game time (2 p.m. ET) with virtually no chance of rain, partly cloudy with the wind ESE 13 mph.

Sunday: 50 pct chance of scattered thunderstorms in the a.m. and becoming mostly cloudy with the temp around 68 at game time (2 p.m. ET) and the wind S 10 mph.
