I like Cig. He is a great coach. Smart and under control. However I would have waited until after this game and given him an extension but not what we gave him. We are Indiana after all - not a recruiting hot bed and a lot still to prove (next year in particular).
Well, now I’m worried about the Purdue game. Last 2 games have been ugly.
You get your ass beat here, miss the playoffs, there’s serious head hanging for that Purdue game. It’s their season.
OSU is barking with the big dogs.....and IU is peeing with the puppies. Stupid mental mistakes, penalties and poor offensive line protection is not what I expected. IU cannot compete...let alone win with these liabilities.
We aren't making the playoffs and we shouldn't. We needed a close game today. Still a great season.I can handle losing to Ohio State if Ohio State is better. But losing because of dumb / avoidable mistakes, that's what hacks me off
Indiana better dial in or they are going to get blown out and miss the CFB Playoff.

Hard to beat anyone, let alone Ohio State on the road, when your special teams gives up two touchdowns.
This 1st CCC year has been a blessing, but I hope he can see what this team needs to compete with the big boys! His JMU squads could never get over the hump because they were a small school! IU wont get over that hump because they are the losingest program in CFball history!
Recruit the players that not only are productive, but can help this team beat these 4-5* loaded programs! Our team has been exposed against Ohsht! We cant compete for 4 quarters because of depth! We NEED that depth!
It’s been a great year, but the flaws are still noticeable! In Cig I trust, but I still question the defensive zone schemes! The offense is good, but OL has had its issues! We will lose some good players after this season, and I’m worried that we wont be able to replace them with as much talent! I just pray there are better days ahead, but I just cant see it yet!

Better days are here. This team won 10 games. Cignetti put this roster together in three weeks. I think he can get good players again this off-season. I don’t expect 10 wins every year but making a bowl game should be a realistic expectation.

I bet IU falls some..But the days of wishing for 6 wins should be over..
This was the year. I just hate we completely crapped the bed like typical Indiana. There might not be another shot at a conference title for another 40 years 😞
Agreed. Sky’s not falling. Very disappointed in the game, but still massively impressed with our accomplishments this season. Beat Purdue and win our bowl game. We still have a lot left we can achieve this season and still carry momentum into next year. We need to get some better talent out of the portal.
Clearly we had 6 good linemen on this roster…but not a 7th.
This is what’s hard to take. I’d be fine with losing to OSU if I thought we’d played to our potential.
