Hey everyone! I'll be providing updates for Indiana baseball's home opener against Purdue today. Stay tuned, game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.

Sophomore pitcher McCade Brown on the mound for the Hoosiers to start the game.

McCade Brown follows up a strikeout by hitting Purdue batter Evan Albrecht with a pitch. He advances to first base with one out.

Brown walks Purdue's third batter. Two on base, one out in the first inning.

Brown hits another Purdue batter and loads the bases at the top of this opening inning.

If it wasn't for the fact we need four starters for the weekend, I wonder if Brown would have been on the mound to start this game. He was on the mound in the 7th against Ole Miss when they scored four runs which was the difference in the game. He's off to a shaky start this season.

Drew Ashley gets on base for the Hoosiers. Grant Richardson follows with a pop up to left field that's dropped by Ben Nisle. Hoosiers on first and second.

Very fortunate to allow just one run to start the game. Two opportunities with loaded bases for Purdue and Brown finishes the inning strong.

Jordan Fucci hits a double between left and center field to clear the bases and put three runs on the board for Indiana.

3-1 and one out for the Hoosiers.

Indiana swinging very well in this first inning. Cooper Trinkle nails a single to left field that brings home two more.

The Hoosiers have 3 hits, 5 runs and 2 outs remaining.

They lead 5-1.

The hits just keep on coming!!! Even Houston, who hasn't been hitting his weight, is getting in on the act.
