5th year senior Galloway at the line for crucial FT's that could have put the game out of reach. Did anyone have faith he would knock them down? His whole career he has been a bad shooter and below average from the FT line . Love his hustle and seems like a great kid but he just can't shoot.

I love him and Leal, they just aren't good enough to be playing major minutes.

Had zero confidence he would make that first 1 to extend the lead. I was already just thinking defensively how IU might stop them with a 2 point lead. Instead he doesn’t foul when getting beat off the dribble. Refs missed at least 1, maybe 2 travels, but never
should have mattered.

Great kids don’t sit at the blackjack table the night before game!

This team is cursed with Galloway and Reneau.

Galloway a guard that can’t shoot or hit free throws.

Reneau possibly our worst best player that ever played at IU.

Reneau has suffered from TJD dominating him from his freshman year and thinking that’s who he had to be.

Galloway is the same player since he came to IU. Old dog new tricks kinda thing.

I disagree. He has digressed. He has lost the fire, is slower and doesn't seem to be a leader on the floor. To be fair, he has been asked to play a position he doen't have the tools for. And, maybe his injury is an issue.

At the beginning of the season, everyone thought our guard problem was solved. Galloway was supposed to be spared the point guard position. Cupps and Leal were to see limited minutes, but now we're starting Leal. Love his effort, but he ain't B10 calliber.

Just an aside-has anyone since Pritchard been called for as many cheap fouls as Goode?

yep good call. Andrae was an AA the final 6-8 games of his career (avg 20/10) and then went nuts his soph yr in NYC vs Duke (39 pts?). In between, would just drift in and out of games. Nice kid....too nice...couldn't handle RMK's style of coaching. This was during the tail end of the RMK era when we could all feel it slowly slipping away.

btw we have two separate threads now titled "Galloway".

Wouldn't expect the person posting the other thread was in any condition to notice.

Re: Goode. I think its because he's (literally) too white. Racial Profiling.

Galloway has regressed. Going through the motions.

To your point: Last 5 games: 141M (basically 3.5 full games), 20 points; 22 assists; 14 TOs; 7 rebounds; 39% from 2s; 24% from 3s. For three of those games totaling 76M he had 0 rebounds. I give Leal & Goode credit for busting their asses throughout this disaster. Galloway doesn't appear to give a s*** and has thrown away a lot of goodwill that might have been helpful later in life. Perhaps his injuries are partly or largely to blame.....who knows.

Not to be that guy, but who was the last guy at IU that you would trust in that situation to make 2 FT's? Serious and legit question--and scary thing is, it may be Sr year Yogi???

If my life depended on hitting both I would hold out for Alford.

Always surprised me that Phinisee hit 90% in high school and last season at IU 41%.

True, but lots of guys since then that I would feel really good about hitting 2 in the situation Trey had on Sunday, but think the most recent would be Yogi. I mean Kopp, Durham, and a variety of others were pushing 80-85% some years, but would not trust them late in games with a chance to seal a W, think those 2 and many others make at least 1, but Sr year Yogi most recent I would trust to hit 2

Same, but didn't Yogi miss the front end of a 1-1 at home vs MSU one year that would have sealed it? I think we won anyway, but I couldn't believe he missed.

had no idea Phi was a great high school FT shooter. Makes you wonder what the hell happened to him once he arrived in Bloomington.

I recall that huge Patterson game versus Duke in Pre Season NIT- Coach K tried his whole starting five on Andre- probs the last real high point for IU in the Knight era.
