A bit of an abbreviated notebook today with the holiday and working on postgame stuff from today.

The Indiana basketball program moved to 6-0 on Friday with a win over Jackson State and now enters the first tough stretch of the season. IU's next few games are:

vs No. 1 UNC
@ Rutgers
vs Nebraska
vs No. 14 Arizona (Vegas)
@ No. 3 Kansas

We will learn a lot about this team in three weeks.

There were numerous players on campus this week for unofficial visits for Indiana's two games. Here is a list:

Prospects visiting on Friday:

2025 Montverde (FL) guard Bryce Heard. 6-foot-5 guard. Originally from the Chicago, Heard transferred to Montverde this season from Kenwood Academy (IL). He has offers from Illinois, St. Johns, Cal, Arizona State, Georgetown, Oklahoma, with interest from Indiana and others. No. 16 in the Rivals rankings.

2025 Lloyd Memorial (Ky) forward EJ Walker. 6-foot-7 forward. Walker visited Indiana for Hoosier Hysteria. Minnesota, Dayton, Ohio State, West Virginia, Xavier, Purdue involved. Brian Walsh lead recruiter.

2025 Lawrence North (IN) guard Azavier Robinson. 6-foot guard. Indiana has seen Robinson this fall a few times. Brian Walsh lead recruiter.

2025 Indianapolis Crispus Attucks (IN) forward Dezmon Briscoe. 6-foot-7 forward. Has offers from Kent State and IUPUI.

Prospects visited on Wednesday:

2025 Greenfield-Central (IN) guard Braylon Mullins. A very good shooter and one of the top 2025 players in the midwest..

2025 Louisville Western (Ky) wing Elijah Clinton. 6-foot-6 wing who averaged 4.9 points and 2.9 rebounds a game as a freshman. He finished the summer playing for the Indy Heat AAU program.

2025 Louisville Western (Ky) wing Julius Edmonds. 6-foot-6 wing who averaged 13 points and 8.2 rebounds a game as a freshman. He shot 64.1 percent from the field. Part of the Indy Heat AAU program.

2025 Louisville Western (Ky) forward Jayden Miles. 6-foo-t8 forward who 8.9 points and a team-high 8.5 rebounds a game as a freshman.

2026 Franklin Central (IN) forward EJ Hazelett. 6-foot-7 forward who has visited Purdue.

Former IU player Austin Etherington coached the 15U Indy Heat AAU program.

For class of 2024 prospects, I would stay focused on the following group at the moment:

five-star Asa Newell
four-star Derik Queen
four-star Liam McNeeley
four-star Somto Cyril
four-star Raleigh Burgess
four-star Rakease Passmore
three-star Caleb Williams
four-star Jaeden Mustaf

I would put five-star Flory Bidunga and five-star Dylan Harper still in a different level right now. We will see what happens with both of them. Indiana obviously still very much involved with Harper (who just visited officially) and continue to work on Bidunga. Continue to keep an eye on four-star Tyler Betsey as well.
