It has been an extremely busy week for Indiana basketball hosting multiple visitors since last Friday. That includes players such as 4-stars Kyle Filipowski and Justin Taylor and 3-star Kaleb Banks for official visits and notable 2023 4-star prospect Jeremy Fears.
The consensus? How great the visit was and how great the facilities were.
"To be honest, all of the facilities are state of the art. From the practice facilities, training room, weight room, academic center and even the dining hall," Banks said following his visit.
I was told both Filipowski and Taylor were surprised with how great the campus and facilities were compared to what they saw on their previous Zoom calls.
For Filipowski and Taylor, both prospects spent time together and then also apart but from the time they spent together, they enjoyed getting to know each other more. Syracuse is a program that is also recruiting both - a program that has also received an official visit from both prospects at different times.
"Visit went really well. He (Filipowski) enjoyed his time. He really likes Coach Woodson. Said conversation was very good and easy to talk to," a source told TheHoosier.
I was told both prospects enjoyed getting to know each other more and they have started to build a good relationship.
Justin Taylor is now done with visits and we are told he expects to make a decision by 'mid-to-late summer'. As of right now, he has taken three official visits - Syracuse, UNC and Indiana. If UNC still had Roy Williams, I would be hard pressed to pick against the Tar Heels. I still think they have a good hold on this but Indiana is right there.
Filipowski had a visit to Iowa scheduled for today, but that has been pushed to a later date, I am told. He is still scheduled for Duke later this month.
If Filipowski makes a summer decision, I think I would lean Duke. If he makes a fall to winter and longer decision, I think it helps Indiana. I think this Duke visit will be very important to see how things go with Jon Scheyer and Coach K.

June 15 was the first time that college coaches could reach out to class of 2023 prospects directly. Here is a list of the prospects Indiana reached out to this week.
Jalen Hooks
Jeremy Fears
Xavier Booker
Reed Sheppard
Coen Carr
Maki Johnson
Gabe Cupps
JaQualon Roberts
Kaleb Glenn
Isaiah West
A newer name to pop up was JaQualon Roberts. He plays for Bloomington North and Indiana Elite on the AAU circuit. He was in contact with Mike Roberts before but this was the first time the new staff reached back out.
Roberts on IU: "It’s (Indiana) filled with an incredible atmosphere and tradition. The facilities were upgraded and really nice, too. I was able to see it the last team camp, in 2019."
Roberts on Woodson: "I saw all the posts about him after they announced his hire, and learned so much more. Looking forward to meeting him. He seems extremely experienced in coaching guys and developing them to reach their goals and really family oriented."
4-star wing Kaleb Glenn from Louisville Male (KY) High is considered a Louisville lean by some, but talking with him and his coach, he is very open right now. That's not to say Louisville won't be the team to beat, but his coach told me he is working on setting up a visit this summer to Indiana.
Glenn received an offer from Indiana this week.

Another player to receive an offer from Indiana was Georgia wing Coen Carr.
From Rivals national analyst Dan McDonald had this to say about Carr:
"Carr is a really explosive athlete with a strong frame. He keeps getting better with his perimeter skills as well. Consistently making 3's now. Good motor... In an event full of great athletes, Coen Carr for the Georgia Stars 16-under was probably the best of the bunch. But what’s equally important for the 6-foot-6 forward in the 2023 class is that he showed some touch on some three-pointers and had some nice drives to the rim as well."
A note from Mel Clemmons, GA Stars head coach, about his athleticism.
"He had 10 dunks in one half, he scored 22 points. 10 dunks in one half against a top team in the EYBL. That's not normal."
Clemmons on Mike Woodson: "Man, it's so exciting to have the opportunity to talk to someone from the Hoosiers. A former coach and player, all of our players are so excited."
He has a very good relationship with Yasir Rosemond and played on his team at one of his camps that he ran over the past few years.
We will have more on Carr later this afternoon. This is one Indiana will be involved in.
Another unofficial visitor was added as Jalen Hooks set his date to visit Indiana for June 22. He had previously told TheHoosier that late June would be the timeline on a visit, and yesterday he made that set in stone.

A new name on the 2022 front is Jazian Gortman. The 6-foot-1 point guard is out of Columbia, S.C. He is ranked No. 13 in the Rivals150 class of 2022 rankings.
Indiana head coach Mike Woodson and an assistant are in person to watch Gortman this afternoon, per Rivals national analyst Jamie Shaw.
Gortman holds offers from Florida State, Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Kansas, Illinois, Maryland and Texas among others.
Jamie Shaw on Gortman:
"Gortman is an electric lead guard who has a sharp, crafty handle with great footwork. Off the bounce, his bag is as deep as any prospect over the past five to 10 years. He is better than a 40-percent shooter from three and a rugged on-the-ball defender with the competitive fire to pick up full court for an entire game. Gortman is truly a unique prospect, and his confidence is rising every day."
Mike Woodson is also in attendance to see 2022 IU target Noah Clowney.

TheHoosier will be out at Ben Davis this weekend for the IBCA Top 100 event. Players such as 2022 IU commit CJ Gunn, 2022 IU target Jalen Washington, 2023 targets Jalen Hooks and Xavier Booker among some other notable names will be there.
We will have notes and takeaways on some of the performers next week.

Other small notes include two more non-conference games added to the schedule this week.
Those two consist of Louisiana-Lafayette and Northern Kentucky. Both will be home games for Indiana. That brings the scheduled to: Merrimack, Louisiana-Lafayette, Gavitt Tip-Off (Big East), B10-ACC Challenge, Crossroads Classic (Notre Dame), Northern Kentucky.
This weekend is the first weekend college coaches will be out and able to watch recruits live and in-person for the first time in over 15-16 months.
