It is another busy week(end) for college coaches as multiple notable events are taking place around the country. TheHoosier will be out in two different events this weekend.

Most notably, Peach Jam has been going on all week and will extend into next week as well. It is the only live evaluation period for Nike EYBL so they extended it.

The biggest news to come out of the first week of Peach Jam - IU related - is the news that broke this morning of IU commit CJ Gunn breaking his wrist. Gunn took a hard fall in Thursday's loss and found out this morning it was broken. It is his left wrist (non-shooting) and is expected to miss up to 5 weeks, per his dad.

Gunn had been playing extremely well this summer and throughout the first few games for Indy Heat this week.

Jalen Hood-Schifino, Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh, Jeremy Fears, Kaleb Glenn and more are all in action in Peach Jam and we have had coverage on their play all week.

Our Live Thread:
Rivals' national analyst Jamie Shaw is down at Peach Jam and had takeaways from the first few days, including multiple notable performances from IU targets.

Shaw's Takeaways:
---

On the Adidas circuit, the 3SSB competition continues this week in Omaha. Players such as Kaleb Banks, Favour Aire, Reed Sheppard, Gabe Cupps, London Johnson, Ernest Udeh and more are expected to be in action this weekend.

We won't be there, but will have updates as they come in.

---

TheHoosier will be in Louisville for the Grassroots Showdown for part of the time and locally for the other time.

It will include IU 2023 George Hill All-Indy targets, forward Xavier Booker (offer), wing Jalen Hooks (interest), and MidPro Academy forward Owen Freeman (offer).

Those two teams square off this afternoon at 4:10 pm. Bracket play starts tonight and then will resume tomorrow afternoon.

---

2022 target Brice Sensabaugh continues to emerge for Indiana and around the country. He has been phenomenal in three games at Peach Jam, averaging 18.7 points per game. He had a 27-point performance earlier this week.

Indiana continues to be a team to watch in his recruitment after receiving an IU offer in late June.

On Indiana; "Indiana is a great school in a great conference and high level basketball is all I want to do and feel like if I go to Indiana that's what I can do... I have high interest in Indiana."

On Mike Woodson: "Someone in coach Woodson, you can't complain about it and that's all you can ask for... Someone who has been there and back is really all I'm looking for. The most important thing every college player can have is a great mentor and someone to keep their head on straight."

Sensabaugh squeezed in two unofficial visits at the end of June to Vanderbilt and Florida.

Rivals' national analyst Dan McDonald had an update on Sensabaugh this morning:
More on Sensabaugh following IU Offer:
---

2022 forward Alex Karaban remains a name to keep an eye on. He has yet to really put a timetable on his recruitment and continues to hear more from Indiana than he did a month ago.

He is also playing in Peach Jam and could potentially have a coach or two watch his game(s) this weekend.

We talked about him last week as someone to keep tabs on, and that remains the case.

---

Small note... former IU player Chris Reynolds being named the DI men's basketball committee chair member.
