Indiana's final non-conference game scheduled for Wednesday was cancelled due to COVID protocols within the UNC-Asheville program. The Hoosiers now turn their attention to Big Ten play which will get underway on Sunday at Penn State.

Indiana sits at 1-1 in the conference right now with its lone loss at Wisconsin.

The Hoosiers' next few games of Big Ten play provide a very good opportunity for them to be set up for a good finish in the top third of the conference. Games against Penn State, Ohio State, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.

This morning, Mike Woodson gave an update on injured sophomore guard Trey Galloway.

He took part in full-contact drills yesterday but is not ready to go for tomorrow's game against Penn State. He says he is eyeing a potential return against Ohio State.

Galloway has missed the last nine games due to the broken wrist he suffered against St. John's earlier this season.

On the recruiting front, 2023 Finnish point guard Miro Little has set three official visits for January.

Baylor: Jan 15-16
Villanova: Jan 18-19
Indiana: Jan 20-21

Indiana was Little's first offer and assistant coach Dane Fife has been over to Finland to see little and his family. He had a second trip planned that was cancelled due to a flight issue.

Little is a 6-foot-4 point guard who is quick and athletic with great length. He's a very good on ball player who can get into the lane to make plays for his teammates or finish at the rim. He is a very crafty finisher and his length allows him to finish around opponents. Vision is pretty good as well as his ball handling. His jumper is the only thing that is a bit inconsistent at times. He can be a streaky shooter from the perimeter but when he is on, he is a mid to high 30's% shooter from three.

These look to be his only 3 visits planned right now. I would go Indiana and Baylor interchangeable as 1A and 1B at the moment.

Some IU targets in action this week were Cathedral 2023 forward Xavier Booker, 2023 Legacy Early College forward Coen Carr, 2023 Bloomington North forward JQ Roberts and Fishers 2025 guard Jalen Haralson. All four have IU offers.

Mike Woodson was in to see JQ Roberts. We will have video on Roberts in the next few days.

The biggest thing with Booker is the motor and overall interest from play to play. He has the skill and I think his skill can translate to the next level. But, you can't teach motor and that's one thing that I wanted to see play out this season with him being a key player for Cathedral now. That hasn't played out the way I was hoping or looking for. It remains to be seen if he will get that from game-to-game and more importantly, play-to-play.

Carr is someone to continue to watch. He has a very good relationship with IU assistant coach Yasir Rosemond and with IU's ability to recruit out of the south helps a lot. Carr is someone I would expect to visit IU and he has told me multiple times that he wants to visit. Now, it's just about setting up dates.

Haralson is obviously super young and nowhere near even thinking about his recruitment. He is an extremely talented player and the fact that he is this good as a freshman is amazing. He already holds multiple high-major offers.

We have notes on all four and how they played in the forums.

Lawrence North guard CJ Gunn returned to action for his senior season debut on Tuesday night after suffering a broken toe this fall.

Gunn poured in 34 points and mad six 3's, despite a loss. He had 19 points in the fourth quarter and brought LN back from what was at one point an 19-point deficit to cut the lead to as little as three.

The 6-foot-4 guard showed good explosiveness on his drives and his elevation on his jump shot remained despite it being his first game back in a while. He didn't get to the foul line which has been one of my knocks on him over the last year +. He settles sometimes too much for the mid-range jumper instead of continuing his drive and attacking the basket. He went that entire game on Tuesday without attempting a free throw. As someone who is going to have the ball in his hands a lot this season, it's an easy way to keep him in an offensive rhythm if his jumper isn't falling which it won't at the same clip every game as it did on Tuesday.

Here are some highlights of his play and the game:
