Indiana has now received good news from Race Thompson and Jordan Geronimo as both announced in the last two weeks that they would be back at Indiana next season.

With the addition of Malik Reneau, that tightens up the front court where now, even if Trayce Jackson-Davis doesn't return, the Hoosiers will still be with a talented, versatile and good rotation of front court players heading into next season.

Jackson-Davis has until June 1 to announce his intentions and if he receives a combine invite, his decision will drag on for the next month.

Indiana is currently with one available scholarship if Jackson-Davis doesn't return.

As for the lone name still available for Indiana on the transfer market, Wichita State wing Dexter Dennis has pumped the breaks on his recruitment.

After taking two visits -- his only two at this point -- to Indiana and Clemson, Indiana was in a very good spot to land him and there was potential that he was going to announce sooner than later. After the weekend went by, the talk shifted from Indiana as the landing spot to more schools are getting involved. Kansas, TCU, Kansas State and Vanderbilt are some of the other schools that have been connected to his recruitment.

But, over the last week, Wichita State has emerged as a program that could retain him. Wichita State is doing a lot with NIL now and trying to retain some of its players who entered the portal by helping get them NIL agreements if and when they return. Craig Porter returned to the Shockers program this week and cited his NIL deal in why he returned.

He said: "Time to make it happen… A Huge thank you to Armchair Strategies, Wichita Sports Forum and Aegis Group for hooking me up and keeping me a shocker"

As time goes on, the chances of landing Dennis get smaller.

2023 five-star forward KJ Evans spoke to TheHoosier.com last weekend and said he is planning on taking an official visit to Indiana in June.

But, this week he added an offer from Arizona and after an in-home visit, he added Arizona to his final list. That includes: Indiana, Kentucky, Oregon, Auburn, UCLA and now Arizona.

He is expected to visit Oregon in the next few weeks and has already visited Kentucky.

Indiana had at least one assistant (Yasir Rosemond or Kenya Hunter) at every game Evans played in Indianapolis last weekend.

Staying in 2023, 6-foot-9 Georgia forward Arrinten Page is now becoming a real priority for the Indiana coaching staff. After sending Mike Woodson, Kenya Hunter, Yasir Rosemond and Xavier Johnson to one of his games last weekend, and an assistant at every other game he played in over the weekend, the staff continued to put on the pressure.

This week, Yasir Rosemond and Kenya Hunter visited Page for an in-home visit, he told TheHoosier.com.

That is a strong statement after visibly showing up for him during both live evaluation periods so far.

TheHoosier.com captured video on Page during the second live period.

2023 Cathedral (IN) forward Xavier Booker has fallen behind Page in terms of prioritization at the moment. Indiana had multiple opportunities to see Booker during both live periods and Mike Woodson saw Booker just once.

In comparison, Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo saw Booker at least three times and had an assistant at every single one of Booker's games during both live periods.

This week, both Izzo and Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey were in to see Booker at practice.

We should have a more clear picture on Booker, from him, this weekend assuming we get a chance to talk with him.

New offers were extended this week to 2023 guard Freddy Dilione and 2024 guard Dylan Harper.

Dilione is from Word of God Christian Academy (NC) and has been a breakout player in the first two live periods. Indiana watched him in both live periods playing for Team Loaded (NC) and extended the offer over the weekend.

Dilione reclassified from 2022 to 2023 and it has really benefited him. He has now picked up offers from Alabama, Indiana, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Rutgers, Maryland and Tennessee all since the first live period. In total he holds over 20 offers including Houston, NC State, Providence, Penn State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Xavier, St. John's and DePaul who have been involved for a while.

Team Loaded head coach Thomas Carr on Dilione: "People are now starting to realize how special and dynamic of a guard he is. He is a three level scorer. He can go get a shot at any time and anywhere on the floor. He's built that way... How special he is in his ability to come off of ball screens with his reads or catch and shoot off of the pass. Finishing at the rim, any hand or any side, he can do that.

"He's always been a great one-on-one player... we call him a late clock killer because he can go get you one out of a timeout. But where he's really developed in terms of a basketball player is his ability to come off of ball screens and make the right reads... The thing I give him the most credit for is, he could always shoot but he was a streaky shooter. It comes off of his hands effortlessly and it's such a smooth stoke (now)."

Indiana assistant coach Yasir Rosemond was the first person in contact Dilione from IU.

Thomas Carr has a very good relationship with Rosemond and also knows Kenya Hunter well.

During the first live period in Indianapolis, Dilione averaged 25.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He shot 48 percent from the field, 44 percent from three and 70 percent from the free throw line.

Last weekend, Dilione played in two games and scored 30 points against Wildcat Select and then 26 points against Garner Road.

Rivals national writer Travis Graf saw Dilione play in Indianapolis during the first live period.

"Dilione has a slow and methodical approach to the game, and it’s effective. He’s a crafty scorer that picks and chooses his spots and gets to them at a high rate. He’s at his best when getting down hill and getting to his floater or pull-up jumper."

More on Dilione:

Class of 2024 guard Dylan Harper is the brother of former Rutgers forward Ron Harper Jr. He has offers from Indiana, Georgetown, Rutgers, Georgia Tech, St. Peter's, Tulane and Radford.

The lefty combo guard averaged 15.2 points last season for Don Bosco and is averaging 18.8 points per game on 50.4 percent shooting and 6.0 rebounds to go along with 4.8 assists per game so far on the EYBL circuit this summer..

He had a big 26-point performance against NH Lightning this past weekend. He was 8-of-13 from the field and 9-of-14 from the free throw line. He also added four assists, four rebounds and just one turnover in 29 minutes.

He also had performances of 16, 17 and 18 points in his other three games this past weekend. In eight games this summer, he has three 20-point games.

Indiana assistant Yasir Rosemond watched Harper last weekend.

---

2024 guard Elijah Crawford is a newer name on the radar. He averaged 19.3 points on 31-of-55 (56.4%) made field goals, 2.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 steals in four games during the second live evaluation period. Indiana watched him in both live evaluation periods.

TheHoosier.com spoke with Crawford.

Crawford on IU: "I like the program. I feel like they're turning it around. It should be a really nice program for the next couple of years."

Crawford on his game: "I'd probably a say, a guard who can get to a spot, score at anytime and on his teammate at any time... I've seen a lot of improvement, especially with my leadership, and leading the team so far."

It's still very early but Indiana is getting involved with multiple 2024 guards.

He's a name to keep monitoring.

Here is more on Crawford's game:

Indiana assistant coach Brian Walsh was on the road this week and visited 2025 Heritage Hills (IN) forward Trent Sisley.

Sisley holds an offer from Purdue and Indiana already. He is one of the top prospect in the state for the 2025 class.

TheHoosier.com was told that Indiana is doing really, really good work with Sisley.

In Fort Wayne, the Bill Hensley Run-N-Slam is going on this weekend and TheHoosier.com will be out covering some key Indiana targets.

We will have more video, scouting notes, interviews and analysis this weekend and next week.
