  • Part of haulage firm's warehouse is said to have collapsed this morning, leaving one man missing for eight hours
  • He was eventually rescued without major injuries after 13 fire crews were sent to the scene to help with the search
  • Huge shelves fell 'like dominoes' as the man operated in the centre - leaving him beneath tons of cheese
I bet he won't be eating cheese anytime soon.

I'd eat the cheese for revenge, but that's me. LoL Glad he is alright. I'd say God saved him but I know the kind of response that would get so I am not going to say that God saved or spared him from death. I refuse to say it at this time.

So then to carry that thought that you're not saying out, didn't God also bury his ass in cheese?

13 firefighters and his co-workers saved him.

These are some thoughts from my Thanksgiving Sermon this past Sunday. One of my texts was Deuteronomy 8:
6 Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him. 7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; 8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; 9 a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. 16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you. 17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

19 If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.

God is to get the credit for providing what we have. Our response is Thanksgiving. Notice God brought them into a good land. He gets the credit. They were to plant and cultivate the land. The danger is starting to think as verse 17 says, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me". When we have abilities God still gets the credit because He provided the abilities we have. I give God credit for those men who saved this man from certain cheese death. Not everyone could have done what they did. They have been empowered by Him. Thus everyone, everywhere can truly be Thankful to God for all the abilities and what they have in life.

Gosh yeah, I don't know how anyone finds you annoying and overbearing!

The truth about forklifts today is that it's incredibly difficult to find a good one that fits your needs, and if you do, the price will be out of this world. For example, I needed a forklift but didn't have the money to spend on just one machine. I began looking around my area and found anguslifttrucks.co.uk, a dealer who claimed they had some good used forklifts for low prices. They were very convincing in their pitch, and I decided to look at what they had. I remained impressed and bought from them, and I am very delighted.

The Word of God is convicting. When we are proud about our abilities and accomplishments and HE says, "I gave you those" it can get to you. I understand.
So, in that case, why did God give so many people basically no abilities? Most people arent exceptionally good at anything. Why is God wasting his time making billions of average and below average dopes?

VPM, I heard that Jesus returned last year, and to the USA. He started helping the poor, healing the sick, showing compassion to immigrants. Then "conservative Christians" deported him as a dirty brown undocumented commie.

Answer the question...or save the sermon for the congregation.
Everybody is good at something. The question is can they get paid to do it. Sometimes people work a job and their hobby is their passion. Now another issue is opportunity. If a guy who grew up in the jungle would be a great sportscaster might not get the opportunity because there are no tvs there.

For those of you unfamiliar with Angus Luft Trucks, here's some great background info. I'm sold.

In September 2012, Robert Duncan purchased Angus Lift Trucks from its founder, Bill Angus.

Angus Lift Truck quickly expanded its operations with the opening of a Nottingham branch in 2013, this provided a wider coverage for in order to meet the needs of customers, in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. More recently, Angus have expanded further into the West Midlands and Northamptonshire areas.

The company is built on solid foundations with a focus on implementing the highest safety standards, delivering top quality customer service and a positive approach to employee training and development.

Following extensive growth, in 2018, Angus moved into its purpose built 20,000 sq ft head office in Hinckley. Angus is justifiably proud to be one of the largest and most successful independent dealerships in the UK offering full workshop repair, rebuild and paint facilities, a finished product showroom, used truck warehouse and a fully RTITB accredited operator training facility.

Angus Lift Trucks has been awarded the national certificate of compliance from the country’s foremost authority on materials handling, the FLTA (Fork Lift Truck Association. Everybody is not good at something. In fact, everyone starts out as a baby who is good at nothing. Some of those babies die before they ever get good at anything.

Why did God make so many useless babies with no skills?

In fact, why is there childbirth at all? Why make women go through hours and hours of excruciating pain and risk death to procreate? Why not just let us cut off some hair and plant it in the ground and pooooooof...18 year old pops out of the ground?

It also appears Angus hired an unscrupulous search engine optimization firm to create backlinks, and the spambot that SEO firm uses to make said backlinks really likes bewbs and stories about McNutt's golf game, because it keeps coming back.

It's the quality of the backlinks that matter. I'm not sure how anyone could look at the OTF in general and the OP in particular and say anything derogatory about the quality of the bewbs, McNutt's golf game or cheese warehouse forklift accidents. Show me another site with better, or even similar, quality of those 3 things anywhere on the Rivals network of sites.

In Genesis 3 we see that pain in childbirth was a result of the Fall into sin. If the babies look useless you find out that each has their own strengths and weaknesses. It really is amazing. I have four kids and raised them all. Each has both of those.

So, women, and only women, all must suffer from now into eternity because of something that happened more than 3,000 years ago? Millions of hours of agony every year, because of something we have no control over? Undeserved death for some women, all for that? And that's your kind, loving God? Also, even if a woman gives birth without sinning? So much for that "forgiveness" I hear so much about.

If you hurt that many people in one year, you'd be in jail. But since the Bible says God did it, that makes it cool?

When your kids were 3 months old, they weren't good at anything. They learned to be good at some things later on. Many others died, without learning anything. Why did God make a bunch of babies just so they could die?

Here is an example of gifts. I can't fix anything and have no mechanical aptitude. I have a son who can put things together. He amazes me. Where did he get that? He got it from God.
Your comment about childbirth pain got me thinking about death. The reason why we die is because we are part of a sinful world. Now you can say that is not fair. But it is what it is. You can't escape death except for what Jesus said in John11:25. See there is forgiveness for sin but it HAS to be through faith in Jesus.

Answer the questions or skip the sermon. I don't care about what memory my questions sparked. "It is what it is" isn't an answer. Just just the acceptance of ignorance.

It is what it is....what a cop out.

Last chance. Answer the questions.

I was.making the point that women are.gonna suffer when.giving.birth and death is.the.result of.the.Fall into sin. I was also showing that Jesus shows us.the.eay out of the curse of sin. So I was answering your question about a loving God. If God didn't love us He would not have.zent Hid Son to fix the mess. JOHN.3:16

Everyone has the right to believe what they want. But I will stick with God who gave His Son for me to save my soul from my sin. Several guarantees we have in life is pain, suffering, and death. But the greatest guarantee is Jesus' power to save me from all that. Now I believe it is for everybody. But again, not everyone has to receive the free gift of Eternal Life. They can choose to not believe.

The ability of people like VPM to change the clear picture of the Biblical Jesus

from a humble servant who gave his time and energy helping the abject poor and those scorned by the masses,

to being a gun-loving, anti-science, anti-poor, fierce, Rambo-like flag-hugging nationalist...

is perhaps the strangest transformation I can imagine
