Programs been cursed for decades now…I essentially have stopped watching but then again I can’t stand the style of basketball that is players now. Everyone’s a freaking 3 point shooter and follows these NBA style players that are just pre Madonnas

The administration simply refuses to make a big time hire to turn it around. They go cheap and boring. And i do not believe we could not throw 6 million at a big name and get one. Donors paid archies buyout and likely right now are not impressed with the return.
Yep like i said we keep making shity hires and why we are now a big ten bottom feeder. How the heck do you sell a program that has mixed six straight ncaa tournies and likely a seventh next year and with a coach with no college record to back up his pitch.
Woodson wasnt a shitty hire. He was an average hire. And rounding out the staff with Fife and Matta, and being able to keep Hunter and Ya, made it a good overall coaching change.
If Miller Kopp is NW Miller Kopp we’re solidly in the NCAA. If Bates plays to even a 4 star rating, we’re solidly in the NCAA. If Rob stays healthy, if Trey stays healthy, we’re solidly in the NCAA.
Hard to pin it all on Woody. Despite all of the above things going absolutely against us, we still were a few shots falling and/or defensive stops away from decided improvement and an NCAA bid.
We’d have a natty or two. Oh question is if they’d have been vacated or not.

Yea can't argue that IU wasn't more relevant when Sampson was there but The Hindenburg was majestic too. Is it coincidence that the disaster for the Hindenburg and tonight's game both involved the State of New Jersey? There is a conspiracy theory in there somewhere looking to break out.
Predicting national championships is really difficult. Kansas went 20 (?) years between titles and it seemed like they won their conference and were seeded 1-2 every year during that stretch. Winning even 1 national championship is really tough.
when RMK was fired I posted that IU will never win another one. That’s not hyperbole, or trying to be a jerk. it’s just playing the odds. We were incredibly spoiled.
