I'd have to get to this later but I think mine would be something along the lines of -
(1) Lagow - Mainly because of immediate impact
(2) Thompson - Mainly because of immediate impact
(3) Ramsey - Not too high on King but very high on this kid. The son of a coach at one of the preeminent high schools in America usually turns out pretty good.
(4) Cronk - The kid is supremely athletic, 6'5, 270 and playing MLB for his high school team is something I haven't seen from an OT
(5) Drayton - It seems like we just got a second Jonathan Crawford, which I'll take anytime.
(6) Stallings - Hey, JJ Watt started out as a 6'5, 220 lb kid committed to Central Michigan. Anyways, I think Stallings has the leverage to be good against the run and the explosiveness to be an effective pass rusher. I think he plays sooner than most expect.
(7) Morris - Very athletic, Simmie Cobbs 2.0 plus deep threat potential, but I don't see him catching the ball with his hands. I just worry about drops. If that doesn't become a worry I think he could play next year. Although I think we could see Westbrook make the same leap Cobbs did in Year 2.
(8) Gest - This spot would be supplanted by Enis if and when he commits because Enis has the same athletic ability plus the body I want Gest to have.
(9)Thomas - I just see a pass catching TE and I thought we already had that with Fuchs. Maybe he turns out better but I don't see it.
(10) A'Shon Riggins - He has the measurables and on tape shows the hip flexibility to be a lockdown corner. I think he's an immediate impact.
Question, why does Rivals rank based upon the top 20 when it's been established 22 out of 85 scholarship players become starters. You have a top 45, or 2 deep that you play with - so shouldn't rankings be based upon that?
My thoughts on Bonner after watching film is that he plays in exactly the same type of system as us and he's utilized as a blocking FB, TE and pass catcher. So he's versatile. He shows he can do a little bit of everything. He's not OJ Howard and not going to amaze you with his speed and athleticism, but he's a good football player that makes plays with some great catches and makes blocks on the outside that lead to big plays.
Natee I would have included as well but when you're 6'0, 250 lbs and just not sure about where he fits. If he becomes 6'0, 265 lbs, I would love to see him as a DE.
