I think Notre Dame voters upvote all the opponents of Notre Dame.
If we'd played and beaten Louisville this season I don't think we'd even consider it a big win, at best only even with UCLA and Maryland. Yet they were ranked 15th coming into the Notre Dame game. Without beating anybody. There is that 21-14 win over powerhouse Indiana last season, so they are clearly a top program.
The human ranking is skewed all year by the massive PRE-season bias of the voters. Then they determine a playoff based on it. Crazy.
