BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- After playing its first 12 games of the 2015 season away from home, the Indiana baseball team (8-4) will open a six-game homestand at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday and Wednesday vs. Eastern Michigan, opening the gates of Bart Kaufman Field for the first time this year.

Indiana has won five consecutive games and is 8-4 overall with three wins over 2014 NCAA Super Regional teams. IU's five-game win streak marks the ninth time since 2013 that the Hoosiers have strung together five or more consecutive wins.

Indiana is coming off a 16-1 win vs. Ball State to wrap up competition at the Snowbird Baseball Classic, where the Hoosiers went 4-0. IU tallied season highs in total bases (24), hits (17), runs scored (16), runs batted in (16) and walks (8).

HOME SWEET HOME
••• The Hoosiers are 39-8 (.830) at Bart Kaufman Field since the facility opened in 2013, including a 20-5 mark last season and a 19-3 record in the first year.

••• Indiana will play a Bart Kaufman Field regular-season record 25 home games in 2015, including eight games against NCAA Tournament teams from 2014 and two series vs. teams from California.

A LOOK AT THE HOOSIERS
••• In the Big Ten, IU ranks first in triples (5) and walks allowed (16), second in batting average (.289), third in team ERA (2.57), hits (124), RBI (68), home runs (7), slugging percentage (.394) and hits allowed (94) and fourth in total bases (169) and runs scored (73).

••• Ten of Indiana's 12 games have been decided by three runs or less, including six by one run (4-2), the outliers being IU's 15-1 win at College of Charleston and 16-1 win vs. Ball State.

••• Craig Dedelow leads Indiana with a .356 batting average, Logan Sowers leads with 17 hits and 25 total bases and Casey Rodrigue has a team-high 12 RBI.

••• IU players have been honored three times this season by the Big Ten, with Nick Ramos earning Big Ten Player of the Week (Feb. 16) and Logan Sowers picking up back-to-back Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on March 2 and 9.

A LOOK EASTERN MICHIGAN...
••• Tuesday and Wednesday mark the sixth and seventh all-time meetings between Indiana and Eastern Michigan.

••• The Hoosiers won the first three games in a series that dates back to 1970, but the Eagles have taken the last two, including a 10-6 win vs. Indiana in 2009.
