Hoosiers have chuilled on him. Carr cannot shoot, at all.has the Hoosiers "chilled" on Coen Carr? Anyone know what happened? TIA
Hoosiers have chuilled on him. Carr cannot shoot, at all.
Where did you see that he can’t shoot at all? Prior to Peach Jam he was making 1 per game and shooting 39% from 3 during the previous two AAU sessions. He hit quite a few 3s last week too.Which is surprising considering Woodson and staff seem to be highly coveting DeShawn Harris-Smith who also cannot shoot at all and is 3 inches shorter and about 20 lbs lighter.

He shot 24% from 3 in high school last year. He's shot well over the last month, but he's not known as a consistent or reliable shooter.Where did you see that he can’t shoot at all? EDIT: He was 14/30 at Peach Jam. So for the entire AAU season he was over 40%.
EDIT #2: Coen Carr was 1/11 at Peach Jam. Not even close to the same type of shooter.
This kid is underrated. He is the perfect fit. He can get to the rim almost at will too. Carr can’t hit the rim.Where did you see that he can’t shoot at all? Harris-Smith is insurance in case JHS is a one and done. He does far more on the court than car. He can play the 1-3 like JHS. Shooting isn’t a comparison as DHS is significantly better. He shot 24% from 3 in high school last year. He's shot well over the last month, but he's not known as a consistent or reliable shooter.
I get why the coaching staff is recruiting him; long, athletic slashing type guard who can get to the basket and play both ends of the floor. Carr checks both those boxes and is 3 inches taller and has him by 20+ lbs. I and a few other posters were chastised for advocating this type of recruit with Carr while the rest assured the board we were going to get a knockdown shooter.
I like Harris-Smith's game, just interesting to see the staff go after a third guard who isn't a known shooter. I was told that was why they were done recruiting Carr.
Yep. The two are trending in different directions. DHS is trending up.This kid is underrated. He is the perfect fit. He can get to the rim almost at will too. Carr can’t hit the rim.
