10 years ago today Duck Dunn passed away. One of the all-time great bass players - member of Booker T and the MG's and contributor to songs by artists as diverse as Albert King, Bob Dylan, Sam and Dave, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Wilson Pickett, Neal Young, and more musicians than can be named.

One of my all time favorite bass grooves. If you want to contemplate how great he was as a musician, listen to his bass line in this song and then compare it to the version by Taj Mahal that the band was covering.
