Think kudos is due to the AD, HC and entire staff for what would appear to be a lot of positive things starting to add up and the story one can tell now in regards to the IU FB program.

Highlights:
-Won 3rd straight Bucket game
-Played in great Pinstripe Bowl game
-Had 3 players drafted & few others signed
-Signed the head coach to a new 6-year extension
-Have hired 2 excellent coaches on defense (Allan & Hagen)
-Hired a new strength coach from Baylor
-Just laid down a beautiful new astro turf at Memorial Stadium
-Seem to be in mix for multiple top recruits around the country - competing
-Camps coming up ahead to bring in top players to see and hear about all of the above

I'm sure there is potential for IU to break our hearts in close games or in any games next season, but all in all, how can one argue that the program is not doing seemingly all it can to become a more consistent winner that may move into a top tier if the momentum continues. Wilson was OC for national champions at Oklahoma, so he has seen what the Pinnacle looks like. I'm optimistic they are doing things right these days.

It's always doing a lot of little things right that culminates later into great success.

Don't forget kicking off the closure of the stadium. It is too bad the asinine conference division lineup is currently locked in stone. Everything appears to be going in the right direction.

I've got to admit that for a long time, I felt I had never seen a man do as many of the right things as Kevin Wilson and get so little return. Playing in The Pinstripe Bowl I think was the corner I've been waiting decades fo this program to turn. Now, we need to back it up with another bowl-qualifying season and this time we need to post the win!

Something's changed for me and IUFB in the last few years. While I always followed the football program, I wasn't strongly invested in it and mainly used it to kill time before basketball season. I can't tell you why, but for the last couple of years, I've found myself looking forward to the football season, and have actually enjoyed following the team through its ups and downs and heartbreaks.

Glass gets a lot of grief for the Crean extension, but when it's come to how he's built the football program (and make no mistake about it, Glass is as big a contributor to the football program's success as is CKW) I don't think anyone in his right mind could complain about what Glass has done.
