Do we know which Bowl we feed into?

That's a retarded take. They won their conference. It's a real thing.
I disagree. They deserve to be in the playoff but a bye? Army won their conference, where's their bye? What about Clemson? I think top 5 conference champs should be a lock, just like college bball does it with the conf tourney champs. But then they get seeded by their ranking.

Actually with them getting byes and Indiana getting in with a weak ass SOS, I can see them drastically changing how the 12 teams get set next year.
We played the scheduled teams in our conference. We don’t predetermine how good or bad teams are going to be each year. You want to talk about weak schedules but don’t mention that the SEC plays only 8 conference games.?
I’ve told people from the beginning that whether we are talking about NIL or CFP, the powers that control and monitor this stuff don’t have the intellect to anticipate scenarios. They make this shit up as they go along.

You are making my point. They didn't anticipate 2 weak teams getting a bye just because they won their conferences. They also didn't anticipate a team like Indiana going 11-1 while never beating a ranked team getting in. So I think changes will be coming. Don't get me wrong, Indiana deserves to be there IMO, but I have no doubt the Bama people are on the phone today with the NCAA and ESPN to make sure this doesn't happen again next year.

Get rid of the automatic byes. Just seed the top 12 teams.

Well if Bama loses twice to 6-6 teams next year there is a good chance they’ll get left out again.

If we win that will be cool, but it’s a mixed bag for me that there’s a fair chance IU could have its best season in history and not be in a NYD bowl.

That’s a pretty big downside for me TBH.

Stupid question my friend has …Are first round losers still eligible to play in a lesser bowl?

Apparently the CFP committee says it is.
No.

The committee has nothing to do with how it was setup.

If SMU hadn’t lost, the ACC champ would be the 3 seed & if the any of the 4 Big12 contenders could’ve not blown games they’d be the 4 seed.

Which was how they always figured it would be. You can’t punish Boise for only having 1 loss by 3 at Oregon early in the year because they play in the MWC.
