Do kids play hard anymore?

I know kids these days are bigger, stronger, faster and maybe it's just IU but we play like we don't care that much if we win or not. This is flat out hard to watch when we only hustle in 2 foot radius.

They don't hustle, they don't get in a defensive stance, they don't box out...no effort, no pride.

Good question and I think most play hard but we don’t see the elements of character in many of today’s collegiate athlete: loyalty to team is now commitment to personal “brand”; selfless play has become pad my stats and playing through some mild injury is benching oneself to not hurt your draft stock.
My cynicism is showing but I do miss the good ‘old days before NIL, the transfer portal and 5star primadonnas.
There is a team today though that has some of those traits we covet…and they play about 180 miles southeast of Bloomington.

Yes, look at UCONN and Auburn. Plenty of teams play hard.

College Basketball is minor league NBA

If they don't they shouldn't be playing.
