I doubt DePaul, Georgetown, or St John's will ever become really good again. I was even thinking about Boston College they used to be a decent to good team and now there awful add UNLV, UMASS, Stanford, Syracuse will fall of the map going to be interesting the next 10 years.

Maybe, but don't think at the time they hired him, Pitino had any controversial baggage. The recruiting violations and of course nailing a crazy chick on a table whilst married all happened during his Lville tenure I think, so at the point they hired him, that was seen as a homerun hire I believe.
