The early signing period is just five days away. Here's where things stand with Indiana's commits as well as some of Indiana's key recruiting targets.

Many commits have solidified their pledge to IU by saying they will be signing on Dec. 19. Those commits are:

• 3-star DT Sio Nofoagatoto'a
• 3-star WR Jordan Jakes
• 3-star DT C.J. Person
• 4-star CB Tiawan Mullen
• 4-star RB Sampson James
• 3-star LB Kervens Bonhomme
• 3-star CB Larry Tracy
• 3-star DT Jeramy Passmore
• 5-star LS Sean Wracher

This is by no means an exhaustive list, just naming the few I've confirmed - so if there's not a commit's name listed there, no need to panic. Most of these kids are eager to sign their National Letter of Intent for Indiana next Wednesday.

Multiple sources tell me Ivory Winters is very solid to Indiana. He got another in-home visit from the IU this week, and the Hoosiers' biggest competition to keep his commitment - Arkansas - won't be making a late push for him after offering this fall. No reason to worry about a flip there.

However, there is still one name to keep an eye on for a potential flip: 3-star offensive tackle commit Matthew Bedford. According to Columbia, South Carolina-based newspaper The State, Bedford is headed to Memphis for an official visit this weekend after taking his official visit to Indiana last weekend. Bedford has also taken official visits to Mississippi State and South Carolina. While Indiana made an in-home visit with him this week, Bedford is going to have a lot of options.

A trio of key targets are making their decisions on Dec. 19th, including:

• 3-star Tennessee defensive tackle Kristian Williams
• 4-star Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean linebacker Cameron Williams
• JUCO offensive tackle Jay Williams

This weekend is the final weekend for official visits as the dead period will begin on Monday, Dec. 17. Compared to last weekend, it won't be as big as far as visits go but there are a couple to note.

One is 3-star Florida defensive tackle Antoine Whitner from IMG Academy who is taking an official visit. Whitner also plays offensive line, so there's a chance he's one of those takes like Stevie Scott where they bring him in and figure out the best position for him later.

Former IU defensive tackle Juan Harris is also scheduled to be on campus this weekend. Harris announced he would be transferring from IU in April and wound up at Independence (Kansas) Community College - the most recently featured juco program on Netflix's Last Chance you - and has tallied 38 total tackles and 4.5 tackles for loss in nine games. Independence signed up for another season with Netflix, so there's a chance you'll be able to see part of his experience there next summer.
