I had questions about the hire, but this is a good interview.

Makes it sound like he might have sought out Allen, not vice-versa. It would interesting to know who contacted who. He's obviously on-board, culturally speaking. He spent 10 years in the AF, and it sounds like it when he talks.

After learning more about coach Warren I have no question why coach Allen hired him. Warren is very impressive and he will have coach Allen to lean on with any questions he has not to mention the other defensive coaches on the staff.

He definitely has confidence and great SEC credentials built up.

Does anyone think Shelby or Jones feel slighted? My earlier hope was move Jones to LB w/Husky, give Shelby “Def Backfield” Coach T only Spec Teams Coordinator (to make them truly special) and let Warren just be DC, so he can focus on big picture.
