He just tweeted that he was proud to say he was an Illnois St. Redbird.

I hoped he would have helped the pass rush next year.

Good luck to David.

Former Hoosiers err i mean quitters well maybe a little harsh but whatever are finding homes in normal illinois

Took a LOA last season. Now gonna play for a PU guy?

Re: Don't recognize the name. Was he injured reserve or something?

He was one of our four 4* recruits in the 2013 class. Played at Indpls. Pike and verbally committed initially to iowaaaaaa. Antonio Allen (Ole Miss verbal) had a change of heart and got big Darius Lathum (Wisky verbal) and David to flip to the Hoosiers. DK did not see much action in his true freshman year. I read that his weight ballooned to 270 and bad karma was starting to happen......

Sounds like a change might be good for him

I didn't realize what his history was. Seems like he sort of lost his way.

Re: Sounds like a change might be good for him

Yeah 18-24 or so can certainly be pretty trying years.....it was for me...And I didn't have any athletic expectations on me to compound the maturing process.

Is Illinois State poaching our players? It's like we're their feeder school for our backups. First Tre and now David.

Either way, I'm sad it didnt work out as we all had hoped but I definitely wish David nothing but the best.

I'd rather have a team of excited players who want to be there, work hard, don't feel entitled to a starting job and who will stick it out thru good times and bad.

Feel like the recruits coming in so far are showing a real desire to be at IU which is great.

Don't wish Kenny or Tre any ill will, but what a shame they couldn't / didn't stick it out and taste bowl success where they started. But good luck at Ill state... better something than nothing.

Ill St just landed Reggie Spearman from Iowa. I believe he verballed to IU early and then de-committed. He was at Iowa.

ISU is putting together a nice roster.

Illinois State at Iowa, Sept 5, 2015

Wonder if Tre and company can take down the Hawkeyes? Should be a good one.

Hope it works out well for him.
They seem to be landing quite a few former D1 players.

Will miss his potential but I have no doubt that our staff has found suitable replacements.

Any idea what he did to have been told to "take a break" from the team?
