And now to play the what if game. not sure what his issue was with the Ethics committee but if he was reinstated, then perhaps it was more than it needed to be. Sucks as he might have helped keep Elliott from having those three big runs last week. On to PSU, for sure....but what if Darius would have been on the field last weekend?

Latham has already missed 3 of the first 5 games. Couldn't remember if he sat out SIU?

This news made me go from optimistic to confident in a W tomorrow. Obviously things are very dependent on who's out there for the offense, but i feel much better about our defense being able to shut down PSU with Latham back.
It's not the defense that's the worry. Having DH back is great but you better worry about the other two missing offensive players. They are the ones to make a difference in this game. "Confident" is mighty darn strong vbg...for a place we have never won and a team we are 1-17 against. How about very hopeful? Just kidding...but this is in no way a gimmie game, not close. People here have listened too much to disgruntled PSU fans. Easy to forget how high the bar is set there. Bad play for them is good play for a whole bunch of teams. Yes, they are not yet a typical PSU team, but they are capable of beating us, as we are capable of beating them. I see it as a toss up, with the edge to them for 107,000 fans in stands. Anything can happen. "Confident"? Not me but I've hope!
