Not sure I could take watching this clown’s antics for a whole season either. Are these million dollar jobs that easy to get these days? Damn. Seems like some real knobs making a fortune leading crap teams.
I agree with you guys. I think UCONN could be a really good team if they had a decent coach. I also don't really like him or his brother. Something about those goofy facial expressions. I remember they were from some Eastern schools that we don't speak of any more.
You sir are correct. We're not flashy. But we get our facts straight and we hate the boilermakers, that's why I love my Hoosiers! See you all in Jacksonville!Seton Hall?
Years ago we had this kind of game at home against Eastern Washington. Nobody seemed to want to win the game and kept giving the other team the opportunity to take it. Finally Eastern stood up and said, "well, thank you we will take it now" and won. I was at that game and left very disgusted in the way IU played. If they had won I would not have felt great, but at least we would have gotten the W.His antics help distract fans’ attention from the crappy play on the floor. They took a ton of bad shots and made lots of stupid turnovers. This was a battle to see which team could suck less.
The score of that game was something in the 90’s...nothing at all like this...Years ago we had this kind of game at home against Eastern Washington. If I'm not mistaken, I think their coaching families are chummy with both Archie's and Calipari, so there's thatThe Hurley boys are living off of their father who is a legendary HS Coach in NJ.
Bobby Hurley was a real thorn in our side when he teamed up with Christian Laettner to beat us in the regional final game in Minneapolis. That was the infamous Duke game we would have won if Ted Valentine hadn't turned on us. He hated Knight. The Hurley boys are living off of their father who is a legendary HS Coach in NJ.
I was initially sold on Archie, mostly because I so detested Crean, but when the money is there, the resources are there, and the recruits and results don't come in 3 years … what are we paying for. It feels like our version of Billy Gillespie, not on a morals comparison, but just a hey "we a mistake" levelArchie is a respectable guy. We will see if he can coach, but he represents the university and the program very well. With a little bit of success, I predict we will see more alumni coming back just to hang around the staff and players.
Many here will never admit what you just did...I was initially sold on Archie, mostly because I so detested Crean, but when the money is there, the resources are there, and the recruits and results don't come in 3 years … what are we paying for.
TV Ted is still at it from what I heardBobby Hurley was a real thorn in our side when he teamed up with Christian Laettner to beat us in the regional final game in Minneapolis. That was the infamous Duke game we would have won if Ted Valentine hadn't turned on us. He hated Knight.
The crazy thing is I'm becoming less convinced of how proven, demonstrable success at lesser coaching jobs translates to success here. If Arch goes, should we hire Alford, Ben Howland … those would be safe, but I'm really not sure a Damon Bailey, Fife, or Coverdale wouldn't be more successful, just based on personality and recruiting ability. Heck, even Mike Davis might be ready to finally pull it off here. It's become beyond X & O's if you want the recruits, and that, in hindisight, had start to become apparent at the end of RMK tenure. Many here will never admit what you just did...

Neither would work for Glass. I suspect Glass is the type of manager that requires weekly productivity reports and mandatory diversity and inclusion meetings.Beard or Marshall
A turd by any other name is still a turd at any other game is what I heard.TV Ted is still at it from what I heard

Hire Beard and find a new AD then.Neither would work for Glass. I suspect Glass is the type of manager that requires weekly productivity reports and mandatory diversity and inclusion meetings.
Yeah, its called ******ronics, why mince words. I'm not a homophobe and my brother in law who is gay, and married me and my wife, says it too when warranted, it is regarding Glass.Neither would work for Glass. Wish Sampson did not know how to use a cell phone.Add to that, and I can't believe I'm even thinking it 15 years later, but I honestly feel like the program would be in better shape had Davis not been fired and allowed to grow into the job. Believe me, I was probably doing backflips when he was fired much like Crean, but he was different and could have grown into the job. Hindsight 20/20, and I had a smart relative see that vision all the way back then, but I wouldn't hear it at the time

That was actually the national semi's.Bobby Hurley was a real thorn in our side when he teamed up with Christian Laettner to beat us in the regional final game in Minneapolis. That was the infamous Duke game we would have won if Ted Valentine hadn't turned on us. He hated Knight.
He resigned but it wasn't mutual since it was a forced resignation. He was asked for his resignation which is just a kind way of firing someone by letting them save face.He resigned, even if it was mutual. That's why we knew before the season was over, but he finished the season.
