To me, this game is the first where we get to see if IU can overcome the past and win a game they are able to but typically have not

A win does so many things - a road win, a road win against a team IU has not yet beaten, a road win in front of a huge and enthusiastic crowd.

This is exactly the type of game where IU has suffered a letdown and performed poorly in the past. But this team is different...this team is going to change the outcome.

And a very difficult corner will have been turned..............

For me it only has that importance if we play at full strength. If we win without our missing players then indeed it could mean something long term...could, but not necessarily. Only whole seasons indicate any long term potential. Individual games stand in a vacuum... Unless as part of a trend of winning (I know, I know broken record vbg). A win at PSU really means only a minor milestone (1st win there) unless it's part of a winning season and bowl bid. I'm done with moral victories. We can lose this game and still have a good season and bowl. Sooo...I guess I'm saying don't go all-in emotionally, win or lose. A win is big but a loss would not be the end. Beaver Stadium is one tough SOB of a place to get an upset.

win this game on the road and Indiana solidifies itself as a mid tier Big Ten program and definitely not the cellar dwellars we've become all too used too. It would be a major step forward for the program and on the heels of last weeks 'good loss' will firm up recruiting potential for the future. in short this game is indeed huge, assuming the Hoosiers follow it up with at mimimum wins over Rutgers Maryland and Purdue. Win this game and 8-4 is not only a possibility. it is a given

Yes it it. I really hope we have at least Sud or Howard. Would be a really bitter pill to have to try to do this without both.
