DACA and Military funding

Is there something I've missed about DACA being tied to military funding? Is there military in charge of CBP on the Mexican border? For the 3rd day in a row, Trump is blathering about the Ds wanting to cut military funding in relation to DACA? Are the two related or is our President so confused and uninformed that he believes the military is in charge of CBP? If it's the latter, then that could be a sign of mental illness.

Dems want the same budget caps on domestic & military spending. Republicans want to increase military spending while cutting other domestic spending.

Democrats have established a guiding principle in spending negotiations: If Republicans want more funding for defense, then Democrats want a one-for-one increase in non-defense funding.

This is all related to the caps from the sequester deal from several years ago.

The Dems are using their (only) leverage in regards to the FY2018 funding bill. There is some debate whether they would go all-in and force a govt shutdown over DACA, as this is what some on the left are pushing for.

There is also the matter of how much they intend to raise the budget caps for this year (and probably next, too). GOP wants to raise Defense more than non Defense, Dems have been arguing for 'parity' in the cap hikes.

So yes, DACA is now kind of intertwined with military funding....in a round-about way.

Good work, but it appears that you will need to find another sign that points to the Mental Illness you are trying to push here. Go slow or you may just go nutz yourself working so hard to prove it.
