and this TEAM. One great job last night. This team has bought into what the coaches are teaching and are getting better every game. I watched the replay this morning and mainly watched Hartman. He was moving and doing the little things that helped the team. I noticed on just about every shot that he was in position to rebound almost every shot that was put up, Great job.

Agreed. I was really critical about his coaching last year. But his ability to make other teams adjust to us and not vice versa had been impressive. Also the team approach to rebounding has been fun to watch. Hopefully he can continue to evolve this as we work our way into the big ten and other coaches figure out how to counteract what we are doing.

I havve noted before that Hartman has been doing this all season.

He just has a knack for knowing where the ball is going and gets there with his hustle. Fun to watch.

I agree, Hartman has been a stand out all year for doing the intangibles.

Maybe we just didn't see him enough last year, because you wouldn't think that's the type of thing you'd develop in an off-season while rehabbing a knee. He's been by far our best post defender, despite his size (I think Yogi might be next, too!). Anyway, I didn't think he showed much last year and expected less coming back on the heels of a serious injury. Glad I was wrong.

I don't recall who it was, maybe even more than one person

that stated when the season began that CH would be an afterthought and would never leave the bench and would be gone next year, if not sooner. A few thought he was not good enough to help this team. I wish we had a half-a-dozen more of him. Everyone seems to be buying into the team concept. This is a fun team to watch and enjoy.

Hartman intangibles.

and don't overlook his vocal on-court presence.

He was very active in directing traffic. Between he and Yogi, the communication and push to run the scheme's was fantastic.

I remember when Collin first committed to I.U.

Not many of us were excited. Although he was a good h.s. player, not many thought he would contribute much to college ball. It has been a pleasure watching him contribute so much to this year's team. Don't know where we would be without him.

about 4 games ago i commented that Hartmann reminds me of the Wisky guys

that kill us every year...

Glad he plays for IU

Most were pretty excited when he committed in 2010

He was seen as possibly the best player in the class in-state at that point along with Davis, and folks expected him to be the next Robbie Hummel.

By the time he finally signed he had dropped in the rankings and people weren't as excited.

begs the question - why didn't he get more PT last year

Many of us were begging to see more PT for him compared to a certain player that transferred whose stat lines typically said 0-0-1-1 with 15 minutes/game. Glad he did not pull a Fischer.

Re: Most were pretty excited when he committed in 2010

In fact, there were some on here earlier this year saying he was a transfer prospect and that he hadn't improved his game since his sophomore year in high school.

Hartman is an All-Star

He may have fooled me, but that's what it looks like to me.

Serious question for Bloom

How many spellings of "Jarod" can you come up with based on the way actual players that you know spelled their own versions of "Jarod"?

Re: Most were pretty excited when he committed in 2010

I believe Dakich recently said he thought Hartman was the best player in the state when he signed with IU.
