  1. .. even the ambivalent fans of Georgia bball are starting to question his direction. Georgia has potentially the #1 player in the 2020 draft playing right now, Anthony Edwards. Georgia had a first rounder in the 2019 draft also.

...they blew a 22 point lead vs Fl last night, and a 20 pt lead over the weekend...

I see his unquenched thirst for leaders continues.

We traded one clown for another.

Archie’s conference records are:
9-9
8-12
5-6

Dumpster. Fire.

Who gets fired first? Clappy or mid major Miller? I’m going with Clappy as GA while a football school still has standards and is committed to winning.

Well Georgia basketball has exactly 2 conference titles in its history and advanced past the round of 64 in the NCAAT 4 times... Ever.

So slightly different expectations

But I bet those relative expectations included more than 4 conference wins halfway into his second year. Jeeeebus. But let’s try to twist everything in a douchey way.

Crean is and always will be a snake oil salesman, so glad he's gone, but I fear we didn't make the right choice and Archie doesn't have the experience to compete at this level in terms of recruiting. Could he grow into the job, maybe? But that's really MD, Crean 2.0, no new AD will hitch their wagon to that hope. He either turns it around and has success this year and more next, or he's gone, and quite honestly he should be if this is all we can expect for what we pay

Not a fan of Crean at all - so happy he is gone. But we are not seeing good basketball today and should be better.

a mere 4 conference wins fewer than The Great Chris Holtmann and didn’t inherit the Wessons. Lol.

Douche. Bag.
Archie is 1-5 vs Holtmann. Holtmann is 2-0 going to NCAA tournaments and won a game in the tournament each year. Archie hasn’t even sniffed it.

Take the initiative to educate yourself kid.

how does that compare to 4-23, you dik.
He’s at Georgia.

Crean’s last 3 years at IU (which got him fired) were FAR better than Archie’s last 3 years. Not even close.

Crean was a complete clown (despite his cult following on this board from 2008-2016) but he was better than Archie.

you mean the guy who is 2-4 against Pat Chambers, inherited the Wessons, and is only 4 wins ahead of Archie? okaaaay

anyway, what incredibly small sample sizes to use to condemn a coach. i'm guessing you think Archie owns Izzo at 3-2? duuuuuuumb

Take the initiative and stop being a douche.

Not enough leadership. I'm not sure, though, I'll have to watch the tape.

Not that it means much but coaching sure is a hell of a gig. He gets to the mountain top at IU. Fired. Goes to a non bball school but still a P5 school. Five or so years of sh*tty results there while raking in over $15mil in this span. If and when fired he'll be an NBA assistant or like Alford go to a mid-major and make more bank
Crean is stealing money
Crean isn’t the only one.

Crean is gone. Who cares what he does at Georgia? Time to move on!

Names Paw....names. Come on. Spill it

Archie is a problem but the administration is a bigger problem. If and when a change is made it won’t matter if it’s still the same stooges calling the shots. They’ll just hire another beta male who they think will be decent but never elite which they don’t want. Pearl and Marshall are the two guys I would call that I’m confident we would land. You obviously call guys like Donovan and Beard first and offer them a blank check.

How would you know? Did he inherit a well put together roster with a great recruiting class? Could it be freshmen and Sophomores tend to be inconsistent and 2 recruiting classes isn't enough time to turn around a program? What do the teams at the top of the conference have in common? Upperclassmen leadership (mostly PG's). Our seniors are a never going to be the same due to injury DeRon (4*) and DeVonte (low 4* or high 3?). Our Jr's are a solid grad transfer, an athletic freak with little bball IQ (3*), and a combo guard who plays hard but was a 3* for good reason. Do you think that is adequate upperclassmen leadership for a coach to depend on? Then, why the **** would you expect anything but an inconsistent team? AT least give a coach a chance to put together a roster....let alone a program.... Our team is still EXCEEDING preseason expectations despite being very much youth lead in the B10. The only questionable losses, as far as tourney goes, are Arkansas and Wisconsin. Why not have a little bit of patience?
