Get ready for year 4 help is on the wayThey’ll beat Northwestern at home and that’s probably it. They might win 6 B1G games total.
The pundits got it right, around 10th in the conference. This is unacceptable in year 3.I had us losing 81 to 63 today and going 8-12 in conference. Id say 6-14 looks more realistic at this point. This is a bad team.
I simply don't get how Archie would deserve a forth year in we tank out and go like 6-14. But of course he will get it and maybe even 5.YouGet ready for year 4 help is on the way
The problem is the coach gets to negotiate a contract that favors him and hurts the school if he’s fired before it’s up. Most schools then have to weigh whether it’s feasible to pay him off and hire another big name coach for a lot of money.
I simply don't get how Archie would deserve a forth year in we tank out and go like 6-14. Right but they fired Gillespie fast. We won't do the same.I’m officially off the bandwagon. I was going to give it til the end of the year but it’s abundantly clear this team has no heart, no fight. And Archie doesn’t appear to have the balls to bench anyone for doing stupid shit.
Archie looks to be our Billy Gillispie hire. Let’s hope the next is our version of a Calipari hire (without the slime factor).
He'll likely get year four but the new AD will fire him after that. The new AD will be under HUGE pressure to get mens basketball back in serious contention.I simply don't get how Archie would deserve a forth year in we tank out and go like 6-14. But of course he will get it and maybe even 5.You
Hope soThe environment may get so toxic that Archie leaves on his own. No one wants to live in such conditions.
Agreed. The recruiting class coming in is average and won't do much to elevate our play. He'll likely get year four but the new AD will fire him after that. The new AD will be under HUGE pressure to get mens basketball back in serious contention.
Cry me a River of crimson tears. Who wants to be one of the most recognized college coaches in the country, guess I’ll go back to the awful Atlantic 10 where my pathetic defense works against terrible teams that can’t shoot! The environment may get so toxic that Archie leaves on his own. No one wants to live in such conditions.
The problem with a new coach is that it almost always (Bob Knight excepted) seems to set the recruiting back a year or two, if not longer. It’s the uncertainty of the situation until proven otherwise. It becomes a merry-go-round of coaches trying to fight through unrealistic expectations of the once spoiled fan base. I’m not yet convinced Archie is the correct/incorrect answer. Give him time to cull the weaklings of the bunch. I don’t think a new athletic director is going to come in and fire the basketball coach after year 3 as his first statement maker. He’ll give it 5 years before the choker chain is yanked, and the way it projects to date, he will, indeed, be yanking.I simply don't get how Archie would deserve a forth year in we tank out and go like 6-14. If we already know the outcome why wait a year? So it gets even more toxic and the stadium goes half empty. He'll likely get year four but the new AD will fire him after that. The new AD will be under HUGE pressure to get mens basketball back in serious contention.
And that's how remain irrelevant keeping someone several years to long when you already know they are over their head. That is realistic as of the way the team is playing right now. They’ll beat Northwestern at home and that’s probably it. They might win 6 B1G games total.

Either way, we’re screwed! If nothing else, holding on to a coach a little longer than you should is usually done to save the athletic dept some big buck buyouts. Finding a good coach would be easy if there weren’t 300+ other schools trying to do the same thing. We’ve already had to face the reality that just because “It’s Indiana!” doesn’t fly anymore with youth of today. There is no inherent advantage from the Hoosier state in this updated, present day internet-made smaller world. We are who we are and what is, is what it is.And that's how remain irrelevant keeping someone several years to long when you already know they are over their head. They have steered away from big names every time they have hired. Why would they start now.
What big name coach will come here?
I take criticism well. Tell me more, Sir, so that I might learn and become stronger in my new found knowledge of discovery.WRONG
