IU needs to change the culture on defense. That comes from Coach Wilson. Wilson plainly said the problems on defense are not xs and os or even talent (although more talent would obviously help).

Wilson believes our problem on defense is culture, toughness and mentality.

I think Knorr is a fine coach and may have great success somewhere else. He even may have success in time here. However, I think Coach Wilson feels that Tom Allen is a better coach in terms of culture, toughness and mentality. He wants enthusiasm, speed and playing down hill. Aggressive, attacking and decisive defensive plays.

With that change, more success will come and then more recruits and talent. After watching the videos and reading the articles on Tom Allen, I think this is a great hire. An Indiana guy with great moral and leadership qualities. Success at all stops. Well thought of (reportedly turned down Auburn D coordinator job) and SEC and Florida experience and recruiting ties.

Even marginal improvement on D will result in a consistent winning program at IU. If it can happen at Oregon, TCU, Baylor, etc. - it can happen at IU. There is no doubt in my mind. We already have the offense.

Go IU
