Post Ballou/Dr. R leaving for Bama, I was very happy with the optics of hiring NY Giants S/C coach to come to IU on a great contract, and as a returning native Hoosier.

I hope in time the reporters covering IUFB will take some time to introduce us to his staff, which I believe does include some new faces, as well as some holdovers. Seemingly we should not miss a beat and maybe even raise our perception, so love to know about who Wellman filled out for his staff.

Hoping schools allow for teams to get back together and working out, as real proof will be in the results, growth, speed, etc.

The other side of this forum has had an article on the coaches Wellman hired; the group is impressive with their background. He has built a staff that should be a recruiting tool for IUFB. IU will have many of the same technology approach to S&C. Coach Wellman has the advantage of developing individual workouts away from the facility while in the NFL which helps with our current situation.

Having NFL coach and assistants with experience in the NFL/ major college programs will attract recruits to IU.

You can find the four new assistants on the official IU site (in the "Athletic Performance" section), but the site doesn't have their bios. https://iuhoosiers.com/staff-directory

Here's what I found online. Pretty impressive group in my opinion.
  • Peter Remmes--coming from Iowa Hawkeye staff

  • Chris Allen----coming from Kansas State staff (last two years after being at Arizona the previous six)

  • Cameron Josse--coming from DeFranco's Training Systems (after not unpacking his bags at UNC-Charlotte in the interim [arrived there this January])

  • Justin Collett----the young guy on staff (also played and coached offensive line)

I am pretty excited by Josse and his speed and explosiveness ideas. This seems to be a really good staff.

Spend $10 a month and you would have known the S&C staff last week.

No wonder you're always a week behind.

Danc the Crank! Way to chime in with a douchey post! Always get a kick out of them and you! Nice flex on your spend for premium too! Actually surprised a man of your spending prowess still hangs out with regular freebies but hope it made you feel better! Keep on cranking my man!

Like all these guys. Remmes learned from what's considered one of the best programs out there at Iowa (and believe interned for Wellman with the Giants years ago too.) Allen has good experience from big programs. Josse looks like next version of Dr. Rea, as he seems to have a lot of ideas and methods for improving speed. And Collett just seems like another hard working, moving up the ranks, S/C guy who rounds out a nice staff for Wellman and the IU program. Find it too bad that the kid who left for Penn St due to S/C & Hagen coaching changes, didn't try to allow for some time to get to build relationships with this crew. But that said, I prefer guys who are truly all in so here's to finding those recruits ahead still!

Thanks for the information, I have been interested in knowing who were the additions to his staff. Hope this group helps IU continue to move forward with more wins and roster development.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Does this mean I won't be getting a 'like' from you on my posts? :(

D the C I don’t mind. Not sure why we can’t be all in for Iu together but bring it any time. A little dig back never hurt anyone right?
