@WilliamInge1: We Hoosin' w/ the #CrimsonArmy15 Superman flew n on a String & hung w/ the King! They Locked the Door's. We r Green & growing. #iufb

Who do you think is Superman?

Hopefully, the reference to Green is Dahu Green and a commitment.

Anyone else see any other hidden meanings?

Does anyone else

think that our coaches sometimes skate pretty close to the "line" on some their recruiting Tweets? I know we have a staff that evaluate things like that but it still seems shaky to me.

Re: Shaky how?

Coaches are not allowed to comment on specific players until they are signed. That's the "line". To me, "We r Green & growing." is awfully close to that line. Green is even capitalized. I've seen others with varying "specificity".

I'm not trying to start an argument. Just wondering if anyone else saw it the way that I do. Maybe I'm just being an old fool. Of course being an IU fan can make you a bit paranoid. Alford and the calendar. Too many texts, etc.

Wasn't trying to be combative....

just curious. Maybe you're right in this one instance with Green. But I'm not sure it's a staff problem.

Re: No worries. *

Thought the same thing - a chance for the NCAA to put the hammer on hapless IU (though probably not as giddy about that as when Myles Brand was running the show).

Pretty serious offense in the eyes of the suits at the NCAA. Not something minor like, for instance, creating bogus courses for athletes or a black market for used game and practice apparrel or having other students take your tests. Those things can be overlooked apparently.

Re: Do you think it's cheating??????

While I don't think it's cheating, I understand why the rule is in place. And coaches are like players, they need to learn to carefully filter and edit their posts on social media.

No matter how excited you might be about recruits, you shouldn't even flirt with the boundary of talking about a recruit before he is signed. Allowing even the slightest mention could open a brand new can of worms in an already slimy process.

Re: Shaky how?

He also mentions King in two tweets. It is just silly of him to even come close to crossing that line. I think he is grave dancing all over the line.

Watching his interview on the recruiting special was interesting.
He is a very well spoken person.

Not to say football coaches cannot be smart guys.
