Calipari, Kelvin Sampson, Bruce Pearl and Ol' Roy just spent the weekend there. They're going to have to power wash the whole damn place to get rid of the slime those four left behind.

I hated having to root for both Izzo and Pearl today, but those two were the lesser evils. I'll be rooting for Virginia and Texas Tech next weekend.

I like how people want to make Sampson out like he did some major shit like pay players to come to Indiana or create a class so his kids could get an A for going to want amounts to a study hall. He made extra phone calls. I guess the ncaa has a bigger problem with phone calls then paying players or making classes . He’s done his time so stop acting like your God or that you’re so much better than him.

That is funny chit!
I didn’t realize all in same place!
No wonder guys are stealing the rugs and such...the schools may be looking at repaying the profits back in future...

Yes, why blame Sampson? He only cheated at Oklahoma, cheated at IU, had a team with both grade and drug problems.

IU requires student athletes, especially freshmen, to attend classes, there are mandatory study hall sessions, and tutoring available and the coach gets grade and attendance reports.

But why blame "Can you hear me now Sampson". He was only the coach and made a few calls...

Your right but I’m not talking about his time at Oklahoma. I also know that is the University’s responsibility as much as the coaches to get players to go to class. I do believe he’s not the only coach to have drug/alcohol problems at Indiana. I also stated he did his time so why keep living in the past.

To me the issue with Sampson isn't the infractions themselves (that wouldn't be infractions now), but that he strikes me as someone that would/will always be skirting rules and always trying to get away with taking one step over the line, no matter where that line is drawn.

It was Sampson's past that dictated our present. The program still is in recovery mode. Live in the past, no. Forget the past, never, unless you want to repeat the same mistakes.

Yep. You don't get a "show cause" order for making a few impermissible phone calls. You get that for multiple violations at multiple places. You get that for being a serial cheater and for lying about your cheating.

And for those now fawning over Bruce Pearl, he had one of those also. When the Chuck Person stuff finally shakes out, Bruce might be the first repeat winner of the show cause sweepstakes - unless somebody blows the whistle on Houston and KS beats him to it. Not that they are the only dirty birds in the nest, but Auburn and Houston basketball aren't "too big to fail". They are the kind of programs that get smacked down as a way of warning Kansas, UNC, and UK to start being more discreet.
