Chinese Virologist Flees the CCP and Tells the Truth About Their COVID19 Coverup

you say "tells the truth" and then post a link to Faux News.

If you find a way to get over your Fox phobia you might just learn something.

I peruse MSNBC and CNN regularly along with AP, Reuters, the BBC and occasionally others without any ill effects...

You should try peeking out of your self imposed isolation...

I really don't want to automatically make this about Trump but you could insert Trump and the WH Admin in place of Chinese Leadership pretty easily. They cut from the same oranges.

Two points. First off she worked in Hong Kong, not Mainland china and certainly not Wuhan.

Secondly, the only reason the Chinese were able to "hide anything in 2020", was because Trump eliminated the US watchdog that had been in place since at least 2007 in the summer of 2019. Since at least the Bush Admin the US had an epidemiologist embedded within the Chinese Health apparatus whose job was to travel and investigate any possible virus episodes and keep the US Administration and CDC informed and up to date.

Fox posting this story and you linking it here just brings up another major FAIL when it comes to the issue of Trump's preparedness and lack of foresight.I will be shocked if Biden or fact-checkers do not JUMP on this situation the first time this issue comes up in the debates and Trump tries to blame the Chinese for "hiding" valuable info from him...

"Trump Administration Eliminated CDC Position Intended To Detect Disease Outbreaks In China Several Months Ago

Dr. Linda Quick left amid a bitter U.S. trade dispute with China when she learned her federally funded post, officially known as resident adviser to the U.S. Field Epidemiology Training Program in China, would be discontinued as of September. Meanwhile, a government watchdog is assessing HHS' response to the coronavirus outbreak, amid criticism that early missteps exacerbated the pandemic.

Experts including one former official who held that position told the news service that Quick, were she still in her position, would have had the opportunity to receive warning and information about the coronavirus outbreak possibly sooner than U.S. and other global health experts did. “It was heartbreaking to watch,” Bao-Ping Zhu, the former CDC official who held the role between 2007-2011, told the news agency. “If someone had been there, public health officials and governments across the world could have moved much faster.” (Bowden, 3/22)"

It would be great to have them testify before Congress to get the details out and in the record.

Given that the CCP was doing their level best to coverup the origins of the virus and allowed it to be spread across the globe what makes you believe that our on station people would have been allowed access to anyof the details without the CCP sanitizing the information?

They had help ..

And then, of course, you default to making it about Trump...

Am I wrong? This is just from the headline and sounds very familiar...

"I know how they treat whistleblowers"

"She says her supervisors also ignored research she was doing that she believes could have saved lives."

Then the article...

"claims the government in the country where she was born is trying to shred her reputation and accuses government goons of choreographing a cyber-attack against her in hopes of keeping her quiet."

"Yan's story weaves an extraordinary claim about cover-ups at the highest levels of government and seemingly exposes the obsessive compulsion of President Xi Jinping and his Communist Party to control the coronavirus narrative: what China knew, when it knew it and what edited information it peddled to the rest of the world."

and of course you ignore the incompetence of your cult leader and want to blame everything on China, when the reality is, China did lie and cause deaths but Trump also lied and then did nothing but get in the way and cause exponentially more deaths and is still doing it.

China put holes in the roof and let the rain in, Trump added more and is letting the basement flood and the foundation is now cracking. We could have fixed the roof.

Also, if you want to blame someone else, look in the mirror. You and everyone like you are also at fault.

Put on a mask or stay home and quit spreading propaganda. Be part of the solution for the harm you have caused.

In trump land he shreds their reputation and seems to discredit them personally and professionally in any way possible

in xi jingping land, he sends them to concentration camps and execution chambers

There’s your difference

Agreed about China. Every rational person understands that China was grossly negligent - - at best - - and should face consequences, but we sure as hell can't turn a blind eye to the guy in the White House and his botched job in "leading" us through this crisis.

China handled this terribly. Many other countries were able to understand that and build policy to counteract that and keep their citizens safe. We weren't. That part isn't China's fault, it's our fault for allowing a corrupt unfit imbecile to take power.

It would be even better if Trump would just speak and admit the truth about such things automatically to save time he could spend more productively to announce his detailed plans for his following unfulfilled promises that are certainly doable:

1. the second tax cut he promised and Trumpificated in 2017,
2. the roads and bridges bill (i.e. infrastructure bill) he harped on and acted like he already achieved
3. any slight improvement whatsoever in healthcare coverage in America (regardless whether rational people think anything was repealed or replaced)

Trump could become a shoo-in second termer by accomplishing those things instead of accomplishing, well, nothing more than being Donald Trump.
