Enfield and Alford got hired at the same time, and Enfield was considered the riskier pick because he'd only had a couple years of success at a mid-level school. I've always felt he was the better pick because his Florida Gulf Coast team was a huge over-achiever, while Alford's teams had a history of rarely, if ever, exceeding expectations.
