There are so many dimensions to this offense that IU hasn't really utilized. The vertical passing game coupled with great intermediary and short game. All set up by a QB that is more than a threat to run, but someone you have to defend. In the last couple of years IU has had to play an extra TE on the perimeter and sometimes in the backfield to account for the DE because Nate wasn't a runner. Defenses could commit an extra defender to the run game. IU still flourished, but occasionally got caught as a result.
Tre Roberson gave IU some of that but wasn't a great passer.
Burmeister brings what Tre did but with more accuracy and a bit more shiftiness. A QB who's running augments the running back and keeps the DE occupied in zone read plays. A guy accurate enough to be effective in the passing game. It opens up the running back even more while still having a passing attack.
Just me talking.
