This team has at least bounced back in time to make things interesting. Here is this weeks Bubble Watch schedule, for those who like to keep track of which teams to follow down the stretch. They are in Lunardi's bracketology order and I included the NET Rankings. Red games are quad 1 (Bold if home), blue is quad 2.

So far... so good! The Horned frogs fell on their home floor (by 12) in a golden opportunity to take down K-State and cement their position. This missed opportunity should put them in serious jeopardy, with a possible loss looming at Texas (Saturday) removing all doubt. A first round win in the B12T over WVU/Okl. St. would be no help, and even a second round upset of the #1 seed might not lock up a bid.

Tomorrow brings big games for Auburn and Butler to help us out. Whatever happens in the Purdue v Minnesota game is all good. If Purdue wins it brings the Gophers closer to the Mendoza line, and if Minny wins it just makes a potential win over them in the BTT more valuable as a quad 1 win, since they would likely move into the Top 50.

Belmont needs to be on that list - their NET ranking is 10 spots above Indiana and they play their conference tournament starting Friday. If they lose in the conference finals they'll be a bubble team.

I lazily just used Lunardi's list, but probably should have added Ohio St. and Oklahoma as well.

The Sooners have a couple of big opportunities left beginning with KU at home tonight, then at KSU on Saturday. They'll be in the same boat as TCU if they lose both, which is likely.

Ohio St. is at N-western tomorrow and hosting Wisconsin Sunday. I think the Buck's must beat Wisconsin to lock it down. If they lose both, IU could move past them quite easily in the NCAA pecking order if it takes care of it's own business.

There are always so many unknowns at this point to keep track of. There is always a team or two winning tournaments that weren't going to make it as an at large team. I will start looking once we win our last two games. If we don't do that we will need to win the BTT. We can only lose one more game.

The real bubble watch starts next week - several conferences play their tourneys this weekend and we'll know a little more about who is looking for an at-large bid vs. the automatic tourney champ bid. Lipscomb is ranked in NET just behind Belmont - they're another bubble team if they don't win their tournament. The Net rankings seem have some really strange rankings though - anyone really think 12-17 Penn State is the 48th best team? Or that 15-14 Nebraska, who seemingly hasn't won a game since pounding IU, is the 51st best team? Ouch.
