It was the rain. A couple of guys came out of the locker room after the game started and they were lighter....for about two minutes.

l was gonna start a thread on the uni's as well. Its like they are growing on me now with the helmet color and the shade of Crimson. Looked great!

Yeah, I saw them and noticed the darker color and then moved on. Suddenly I was getting texts from people about them. Either way, great to see us at 2-0.

FWIW, I liked the Crimson look, mainly because it's a bit different, & it is, after all, our actual color, not red. Nontheless.

That makes one of us! I like solid colors, I like when we wear all red, especially when we played Duke & they wore all blue--that was awesome. Or like when Michigan wears blue jerseys with all maize pants, or Notre Dame wearing blue jerseys with solid gold pants. I don't care for all white uniforms. To each their own!

Well I certainly agree with the latter sentiment! Pink polka dot tu-tu's, for all I care.

Yeah, that's my favourite, easily. I wish the equipment room &/or whomever's in charge would take notice of how sharp they looked Saturday, perhaps incorporate some actual crimson once again. The only thing that was slightly off was the helmets-they weren't quite crimson, they're somewhere between red & crimson, but the rain didn't darken them, obviously, like the uniforms. I'd LOVE to see us wear crimson matte &/or satin finished helmets(someone posted a concept helmet a couple of years ago on twitter that was matte crimson with chrome block I & chrome stripes in honor of the 50th anny of the Rose Bowl team. They were FIRE! I wish I could find it). Still was a great look though.

Well, yeah, the zero in the loss column looks good even if we were to wear puke & black(I think even in that case, anyway....)

Those unis were dark crimson when they came out of the tunnel...many were only wet around the edges. Looked good to me!

They're the same color they were last year. Rain and lighting made them look darker. Look at the helmet for what it actually looks like.
