Kinda surprised by the Purdue offer. Maybe they're worried that by the fall of 24', they won't have anyone like Cline, Matthias, Stefanavich, etc...??? Loyer I suppose could play that role, though he seems to be a more versatile wing. They're going to need a slow, white, streaky shooter, that can't play much defense, or else Painter won't fully feel comfortable coaching them.

Woody wants defenders. I understand your thought process but I think it’s quickness and defense over pure shooters for him and he looks/sounds closer to that. I’m not sure we could get (or want)situational guys like Roth anymore. Zeisloft maybe.

I’m positive that changes this year. I bet this team is top ten in defense and top 50-75 in scoring efficiency. If they can get to 116 in adjusted offense we are in business. 35-36% on 3s should be enough.

Hes still growing, which is why he looks slow. Should have seen him a year ago. He's way quicker now. Great shooter, incredible IQ. It will be interesting to see how he translates. I'd take another Mathias.

Who’s comparing them to IU? We’ve sucked recently. If I were a Purdue fan, I’d want to make a final four at some point in my lifetime.

And relying on guys like those is part of the reason they always end up stumbling and getting beat in the NCAAs.

Better than 40 or so years and zero titles.

And IU won’t make a run either, most likely, if we rely on guys like Stefanavich or Kopp to play big minutes on the wing. Or Benter, getting back to the original subject. Nice player. I’m sure would help either school win a few B10 games. But isn’t gonna move that needle towards a top 5 team/program.
