Why are we tax payers paying their salaries? Why are we paying for their flights to and fro? (I read that Brian Shatz flew home to HI and then returned to Washington 17 mins later and is now back in HI! What an outrageous abuse of resources)

Make em all sleep on the Capitol floor on toshaks and shove trump in there with them. No showers. No one leaves until a budget is signed. They'll reach a deal within hours.

Bunch of bums. They dont deserve a Christmas. Giving the middle finger to the American public.

AOC is right about this.

My Dad used to say those in Washington are, "feathering their own nest." He is right.

If you can't properly locate the blame, then there will be no accountability. (Hint: The blame does not lie with an amorphous "Congress" that's overcharging us for flights.)

Just as you missed the target with Happy Holidays, so here with blame. What you're looking for is Season's Greetings and responsibility.

That's a separate issue. I blame in order Trump, the Freedom Caucus, and Congressional Rs.

That does not excuse the behavior of others. I hold elected officials to the highest standard. I also dont understand why the Dems dont go on attack. E.g. before it was DACA for $25 billion. I havent heard DACA uttered once during this most recent negotiation. Why isnt that part of the discussion? Publicly endorse DACA for $5 bil and put Trump on the defensive. Make him refuse a bill that has his 5 bil in exchange for protecting DACA recipients.

Democrats are too focused on petty social engineering to think of sensible negotiating tactics like that. Worst of all, Democrats long ago forgot about the economy. They're busy being distracted by the talking point du jour cooked up by clever Republicans.

I'm wondering not if but when the Democrats will crack and fund the wall this coming January. They're battling someone who literally couldn't care less if the Government shuts down for a year.
