No matter how bad Chauvin’s defense attorneys were, the problem for Chauvin was that he murdered a guy in broad daylight while being recorded on camera.

The EMTs on the scene confirmed it, the doctors who testified confirmed it. He had no defense because his actions were indefensible.

This case was a layup. It’s good to have a guy like Chauvin off the streets. He has no business being a police officer.

True. But the difference between a lousy attorney and a great attorney is that the great attorney can get the guilty guy off. OJ Simpson ought to have been a slam dunk too, but he had the Dream Team. You think Chauvin’s attorney get’s OJ acquitted?

But yeah, boo hoo for Chauvin. I guess he should have worked on his quickness in the backfield so he could bank a few million before he started murdering people, like OJ did.

Looking at this one case in isolation, yes. Put in the context of the near-zero conviction rate of on-duty police officers, no.
